Title: My high school reunion is coming soon. Should I go?
Post by: exocet on August 29, 2011, 01:56:59 PM
The reunion is a little more than 2 weeks away. I don't have a body like Groink, and I am not successful like Coach but I am not a complete failure either. I, know the first response will be to just end my life, do more upright rows, your mom etc.  :D

So my question is, should I go anyway? I can't believe the anxiety I have over this, and for what? Was your high school reunion a positive one, or is it one of those things that are over rated?

I had no interest in seeing past school mates, I skipped it.

No.  I just saw everyone as a lot fatter with multiple kids working dead-end jobs in one of those depressed northeastern cities.  I don't see myself relating to them in any way.

I had to get into the most inebriated state I have ever been in to show up,...and it was still depressing as all Hell.

Every place I looked, there was someone who was an asshole to me in high school.

Kids are always shooting up high schools but no one has ever shot up a high school reunion before.

Tapeworm, I am not worried about someone shooting up the place. This is what I would worry about. :o ;)

I skipped mine.  If I had wanted to reconnect with these people, I would have done so outside the confines of a poorly ventilated gymnasium or Conference Room "B" of some local hotel.
