Indeed, old bean. I believe you're hinting towards the idea that genetic underpinnings of religiosity may, in fact, be Mendelian in nature. Religious sentiment might therefore not be viewed as a pure product of environmental influence; rather, it develops, at least in part, by virtue of biological endowment. I'm not sure I fully agree with your theory, but let's give peas a chance.
