Title: 2011 IFBB Pro Mens Bodybuilding Top 100 List
Post by: Ron on September 01, 2011, 10:10:53 PM

Final IFBB Mens Pro Bodybuilding Top 100 Ranking List, updated as of Septemer 1st, compiled by the RAS Statistics.  Onviously, this is going to change as the Olympia comes and knocks Branch Warren and others from the top ten spots....  and with the Tijuana Mens Pro competition coming, some surprises may come in....

Here you go....

Ron, can you explain how this ranking is done? I've never understood it. There's guys ranked who haven't competed in a long time above those who have competed and more recently. There's also guys who have placed well and even won shows over the last yr who are placed below guys who although have competed who haven't placed well at all.

I don't know if you have the answer to this but surely someone does.

It varies, based on the contest itself (Olympia and Arnold more worthy), and based on the strength of the competition. You can place top three in a week show, but does it matter? Also matter, if you beat another competitor sooner or later. A few of us discuss it, offer opinions and sometimes it is off, but based on real time statistics instead of points which can skewer it.

Mostly, a form of discussion and opinions.

I see. What was really confusing to me was where many of the 202 guys were placed in the list, for example, Jose and Flex seemed to be a lot further down the list than made sense.

Also, just a side note, kind of weird/funny seeing Ronnie Coleman so far down the list...I mean that one actually makes sense but at the same time I'd think since he's retired he wouldn't be on the list...a few others as well.

Hard to believe Dex and Branch are so high. Wolf should be in the 3rd spot with Evan right behind him!!! FFS, Even won his first 2 pro shows!!! Whatever...

You are right, there will be a seperate 202lbs (or the upcoming 212lb) list, so if these competitors do not compete, they will move down the list.  As for Ronnie Colemna, he has not competing, and for each year you don't compete, you move farther and farther down the list.

Olympia is what matters, and when Evan beats Dex and Branch at the O, he will move up.  However, with Branch NOT competing at the Olympai due to injury, he will move down no matter what.

Dont worry, he will be off the list soon. He definately is not moving back up... unless he competes again in the IFBB.

Evan fucking deserves it dude. Victor has proven nothing recently except that he has been slipping for years. Evan has proven he is tough to beat right out of the gates as an IFBB pro. A smart man would bet the farm that Evan will not be getting less than 1st in most shows he enters. Someday it could be all shows. Victor on the other hand would be lucky to get top 5 at the olympia and who knows next year...He might be 10th...Dude is very unpredictable.

evan is a good bodybuilder but he isnt better than victor. work ethic and consistancy doesnt mean anything, the only thing that matters is who looks better.

Don't laugh. There's probably schmoes out there, right now, putting together their teams in the fantasy bodybuilding league.

Ha - but yes, predicting the Olympia and who will win is a big thing, especially if you can get the top 6 correct in order, which NO ONE ever does.

Ronnie Rockel ahead of Victor is even more surprising

Some guys are ahead of some other guys they have never ever beat before, not that I could come up with a better system, but certainly a number of flaws, but everybody is placed in the ball park they deserve though.
