Margarito is pretty ripped but he's gonna get a beatdown from Cotto this time around.

Most likely, he is the most damaged of the 2 fighters....neither are elite anymore.

Depending on what periodization were on, yes, similar. I just don't use the Val slides.
-
Have to add, he is a boxer and I've never really worked with boxers.

Do you think mma or boxing requires the higher cardio level?

I know most is for conditioning but do they gain power, speed and strength from that?
-
Its all bullshit! The only thing a fighter need to train is techniques, kicks, box, submission etc. And then go out running for the lugns and heart and do some basic powermovement in the gym. That's it!
-
You really believe that don't you?
-
Dont know :)
Im just think people make things more complicated than it is...in most cases!

Now, I'm talking MMA here. If you take two fighters with equal technique and one strength trains and the other really doesn't who do you think would have the greater advantage? The person in the video in this thread looked as though he had a great trainer using what I think is good training for a boxer. When ever you do circuit training with loads not only will your conditioning be off the hook but you will have the advantage.
