Let's see, he's competed in 3 Arnold Classics and finished 5th, 2nd, 2nd and 3 Olympias and finished 3rd, 5th, 2nd. He's top 3 in any show, but not the new poster child.

A wide midsection is not an advantage or a desired look, no matter how you try to spin it.
As an example, Ronnie Coleman possessed the positive qualities you mention without having a wide midsection.

In this latest photo posted on another thread it almost looks like his waist got smaller. Having such enormous delts that hurt either. And he actually has veins on his delts and striations on his pecs.
