Title: If Cutler wins the Olympia, what is his next step?
Post by: dantelis on September 15, 2011, 10:47:56 AM
If Jay wins the Olympia this year, do you think he should:

1.  retire,
2.  do the Arnold to try to make it 4 wins and tie Flex Wheeler's record or
3.  do one more Olympia to tie Dorian Yate's # of wins?

Similarly, what should he do if he loses?  Is it better to bow out gracefully and retire or go back and try to win the Olympia again?

He knows that retired pros are all but forgotten.  He might as well keep crushing his marginal competition and cashing in.

He's gonna win for sure. He should keep going for a couple more years. Break all the records make as much money as he can. Think about it most people don't retire until sixties. He can go another 5 years.

This. He will retire when he is ready. At the moment he is pulling in serious cash from his name, physique, clothing line etc. Why stop now? Apart from the fact that he may drop dead in the morning due to being a walking pharmaceutical company.

He needs to come up with his own brand of supplements. If there's anything the world needs, it's more protein powders.

No way!  Cutler lost to Dexter and almost lost to Victor.  He just isn't dominant enough to hold on to first place for 5 more years.

If he loses, he should do the Arnold, collect the $130,000 check and then give the Olympia one last try with momentum of the Arnold behind him.  It would be much better for him to retire on top, than have Ronnie's sad demise.

Clothing line?  Does anyone by clothes by Jay?  I can't imagine there would be much money in that area, even for the reigning Mr. Olympia.
