"If" Jay is indeed going to retire from professional bodybuilding...
WIll he announce it next Monday, after the India show?
Or will he hold off saying anything for the next 9 months, milking the guest appearances? Does he instantly lose some earning power once he's viewed as a "retire bodybuilder" instead of "a downed champion seeking a comeback"?

I think retiring while relatively young and still at the top of your game, is alot different than say ronnie coleman who stuck around a little too long. Just think did people forget about Arnie when he retired, my guess is Jay will up the volume on his public appearance to really milk his name while he's still a fresh young champ.

It's a very similar ending to Ronnie. Nerve damage, maybe torn muscles, he just looks worn out. He could pull a Ronnie and retire, but keep mentioning a comeback for the next 4 or 5 years. In reality, he's done.

I'm quite certain Jay will retire.
My point is about the TIMING of it. Will he bullshit people for the next 10 months saying "I will reclaim my crown!" for marketing purposes - Then pull out with an "injury" and quietly retire during the buildup to the 2012 Olympia, then be the "what if..." guy at the 2012 Expo?
Once he retires, it's down to guest posings and/or autograph signing. I don't think Jay will go the Ronnie route and pose in terrible shape.
