studies claim only 2% of people experience sides, but bodybuilding forums are loaded with guys who turned nearly impotent and got watery sperm, gyno, and mood swings

That is because the people who don't get side effects naturally don't go online to complain about it. I had no sides whatsoever but it didn't do shit for my hair either (some people don't respond).

just because you don't hear it doesn't mean it's not true / didn't happen
this applies to everything in life.

Same for me. No sides, no hair.
Another thing to consider is that it's not a temporary treatment. You have to keep using it twice a day, every day, forever. To me a little hair loss wasn't even close to worth it. Most guys look good with very short hair anyway.

A good studie takes this into account. And the hair thing is only an off-label use that isn't impressive at all..it's a prostate drug, for sick people, and bald people aren't sick...well, ill I mean.

Yes, thinking you can buy something for $200 a year or whatever Rogaine costs, smear it on your head, and have your hair grow back is quite naive even in this day and age imho.

if you're not willing to use finasteride you shouldn't get a hair transplant. and that's a direct quote from a hair transplant surgeon
also, some people in this thread are confusing finasteride with minoxidil. finasteride can absolutely slow down hair loss tremendously and even some may experience regrowth
minoxidil on the other hand is weak..... they said
