"As the 2011 Mr. Olympia, Heath picked up a sweet trophy and a nice check for $200,000. Of course that's still less than the minimum salary in the NBA, which is $473,604."
Is the headline spurred only by his supposedly failed basketball career?

LOL..... after the NBA lock out.... players will be lucky to clear $100,000 a year..... NBA only has about 20 superstars the rest are roll players who average 2-8 points a game

Are you sure Branch Warren missing the olympia from a slip and fall didnt make national headlines first ???
-
the former baller joins iconic muscle legends Lee Haney and Arnold Schwarzenegger as kings of weightlifting. they failed to mention Dorian yates and Ronnie coleman. how disrespectful.........Th at shows you how knowledgable the media is about bodybuilding. all they know is Arnold was it and that's it

Really? Does that make you feel better or validated? Why? Bodybuilding is a fringe activity for muscle extremists and schmoes. No amount of yahoo coverage will change that. :-[

Did a search on google news for the Olympia contest the following day and a whopping 4 results came up and 2 of them were from the archives.

I figured he was about 5'8"-9" but I never really paid attention, 99% of bbers are sawed off fucks so it makes sense to assume they are all midgets, so when I saw 5'11" I was shocked and awed.
-
LOL Yeah being front page on yahoo after winning the Olypmia is great..........so all the world can sit there and lament about how many drugs you use. The before and after photos don't help. LOL.....no thanks!
-
His before pics prove that pro bodybuilding is "all drugs". You can have a casting call in every big city (ala American Idol) and have a 1,000 dudes that look like Heath's before pics show up. Its not "great genetics" as much as it is a trusted supplier, and the balls to juice to the gills!

Yeah, it was on the cover of the Las Vegas Post.
-
Phil and jay are the same height 5'9
-
;D ;D ;D ;D
i can smell sarcasm in that sentence ;D

Is that Ru Paul in the middle?

Heath is 5'9, Jay has been 5'8 forever...Basketball heights tend to be inflated..

i think muscle tech matches winnings so phil could have made 400,000 bucks
-

all the times......basketball has always been notorious for adding xtra inches to everyone's real heights. Allen Iverson is 5'10 with no shoes on, but the NBA listed him as 6'1
-
yahoo correctly acknowledging bodybuilding as a sport

Lee Haney being mentioned is a quite a rarity.
