Apparently there has been a Lexus LS lapping the 'Ring, and has a 5 liter engine, that may be a further development of the LF-A V10 or a biturbo version of the 5 liter V8 in the IS-F. Apparently it has 641 hp

Poor Lexus they had The Ring record with the Nurburgring edition of the LFA for about a month than Dodge raped them with a year old ACR Viper

Here is the thing about that...the ACR Viper was a 2010 of the showroom floor and was shipped and prepared by a firm in Germany that prepares and races Vipers...
The Lexus LFA that had the 7:14 had a rollcage that can come with the Nurburgring Edition
What is interesting about this Lexus is that this engine may go into the GS-F....

That Lexus was just as prepared as the Viper

You can get all of what the Lexus had as the N edition...that Viper was aftermarket prepared by a specialist team, it wasn't a right off the showroom floor car...that we are led to believe
If anything, I would like to see what the ACR-X could do...it's not street legal, but neither is the Pagani Zonda R or the 599XX.
What is funny, is how tires can make a difference...look at the ZR1 and Z06 times...

Again the LFA has a cage which stiffens the chassis , you don't get a cage off the show room. And you don't think the Lexus tech is a specialist team? or that car wasn't prepped for optimal performance? regardless it's a remarkable time
-
Vipers are still pieces of shit, don't care how fast it lapped, ACR more of a race car than street. Ive been in one, LFA N edition is still very streetable and believe more comfortable.
RIng times are ridiculous these days with all auto manuf. trying to out do each other.
ZR-1 > ACR any day.
GT2 RS > ACR
FUCK vipers, 8.3 V10 ::)

Guess what he meant was you can just order a LFA N edition from the dealership and go to the ring and do 7.14 off the bat, the ACR was modded and not what you would buy straight from the factory.

I doubt any regular old customer can replicate that Ring Time , even very skilled ones in any of these guys but it makes for great marketing tool
I wouldn't buy a Viper ACR either or a GT2 RS to hardcore for every day use , you'd get 99% of the performance in a ZR1 or a Turbo S and a fuck of a lot more user friendly daily driver
-
Well, you know what I meant lol
Shit, I get 99 % of performance out of my e92 M3
But if I would get another car probably a gt3 Porsche. I prefer NA cars over forced induction.

What I'm interesting in is what the Gen 5 (?) Viper will be like with Ferrari's help...
Just when we think we think that the manufacturers are softening up, they surprise us, like Mercedes admitting and confirming that a SLS Black Series will be produced.
