Title: How long can you jump rope?
Post by: berblexer on September 21, 2011, 04:07:25 PM
With high intesity i can do only 2 mins.

At around 2 mins my entire body starts failing, first my calves, then heart, then shoulders and ultimatelly my coordination.

I might have some kind of heart condition which limits my cardio performance, I've had it my entire life, same with running.

What about you guys?

jumping rope IS hard. I do it as a warm up before my workout. 2 mins is OK.. just do that then rest and go again. I believe you will get a benefit from it. I have toyed around with Tabata cardio with jumping rope and it is OK...but if you really wanna lose the weight and get fit then..jog or walk(with weight).
