These "debates" are fucking stupid. Every person should be asked the same question and given a few minutes to respond. Hand-picking questions for each candidate defeats the entire purpose of a debate. It's more of a Q&A than anything.

This being on Fox is probably the most critical debate so far in how people are going to choose their candidate. I'm going to guess Mit gets a big bump and Perry goes down in polls after this.

I really like Cain. Seems genuine and he answers every question straight forward, with the best example being SS. While Perry and Romney are busy pointing fingers over playing "he said, she said", Cain's already laid out his solution.

reminds me of 2008.... rudy and mitt were the frontrummers, with ron paul and huck and mccain sitting around trying to act dignified.
rudy and mitt screamed "actually, YOU are the liberal!" over and over, and both looked foolish. Repubs chose mccain by default as the only grown-up on the stage.

That's why they should ask everyone the same question and give them enough time to answer it. As it stands, they just bounce around and like tonight, it's just turned into everyone hammer Perry (not that there's anything wrong with it).
This is the best one by far, though. Legitimate questions and the moderator isn't opening his mouth every 5 seconds like the MSNBC douche was.

Well, here are a couple of -- no, make that several -- new wrinkles in the Republican presidential contest in New Hampshire:
With the next televised debate tonight in Florida on Fox News, a new poll of likely New Hampshire Republican voters shows Mitt Romney surging to a commanding 27-point lead over his closest GOP rival, who is not Rick Perry.
The Texas governor, whose mid-August entry saw him rush to the top of numerous national Republican polls, was pushed way down in the new Suffolk University Poll to fourth place deep into the single digits, barely ahead of the not-even-running Sarah Palin.
But here's a surprising, potentially significant development for the New Hampshire contest. Jon Huntsman, who's been swimming around the bottom of the field like a foraging flounder barely registering in most polls, has himself surged. He's moved all the way up to 10% and third place -- ahead of Perry.

Yes you have. I've been on huntmann's nuts since 2009, I think. BEFORE obama sent his ass overseas. I got all loud and douchy when Obama sent him overseas, saying he was the biggest 2012 threat.

Newt was good except he was kind of condescending when he refused to "play the Hollywood game" or whatever he said.

I kind of like Huntsman but I don't like the way he talks w/his hands so much...there's something about it that bothers me and some stuff he says seems like filler that is ingenuine or something...jmo
Mitt and Perry were kind of irritating but I like Mitt more than Perry. Perry did not do well imo.
Johnson did OK..seemed nervous.
Santorum-I kind of like him but he seems "blamey" and whiney. Did he actually answer Perry's 3am question? Maybe I missed it but it seemed like he said essentially the same thing as Perry.

I did miss it then. I thought Perry was saying, we need relationships w/India, etc. blah blah and then Santorum said Perry didn't answer and said we need relationship w/Pakistan...but I missed anything after that. Do you remember his whole answer?

I Predict:
Santorum will go up. He got a great deal of time and for being such a gomer, he did very well.
Perry will go down, he got hammered and did not do well with his own answers.
Mitt will go up, this was his best debate performance yet.
Ron Paul will probably stay the same, he didn't get much time and was pretty much left out of any back and forth by others on the stage.
Cain might go up a bit but I don't think by much.
Huntsman got nowhere to go but up.
Bachmann will go down.

Johnson Paul and Cain got screwed. Considering Paul is in 3rd place, that is kinda fucked up. It's no secret Fox hates the guy with a passion... What the hell is up with giving Santorum that much time when he's dead 2nd to last in the poll averages?

In listing who they think the winners and losers are, CBS lists Ron Paul and come off like it's Paul's fault for not getting enough debate time. ::) They also say he didn't get much of a crowd response which is a lie, he did get a good response from the times he spoke so they just pulled that out of their asses. But making it sound like it's Paul's fault for the moderators leaving him well behind most others in opportunity to speak is stupid. Of course Bachmann, Huntsman and Santorum each jumped in stealing time for themselves and the moderators let them so maybe they blame Ron Paul for not jumping in like they did, that would be stupid...

Santorum worked at Fox. This was a fox debate. Hence his more time than almost anyone else, and his "win" in polls.

The santorum podium had a reversed banner image in background, so they could put up the rotating fox logo in the left corner when he spoke, and the fox image on the right. More or all of the other candidates had this reversed. My own CT is that this was done so that people didn't see "Google" and "Santorum" on the screen at all.
Pay attention to the backgrounds. The other canddaites (most, as I could tell) had FOX onthe right, and google on the left. That annoying floating fox news live bubble kept coming up when santorum spoke. Clever. Or maybe i"m just overhtinking things - and people who work at the highest level of tv and marketing don't pay attention to background images? ;) lol

In looking at Hugo's response moments numbers, the above should happen....and maybe independently of each other somehow. Each is interviewed separately and not in each other's presence and the resulting responses shown.
