which one you prefer and why??.. i need to buy a new one and i never tried hooks before.. i heard it's not as good as stapes in certain exercises!!.. plz share your thoughts..

straps is the most common..

i prefer using strapes although i will occasionally use stapes :D

Hooks would be good for chin ups or lat pulldowns. Not too sure hooks would work well for something like dumbbell rows or tbar rows. think it would be awkward.

Hooks are terrible, choose a pair of APT straps

HOOKS are a gimmick, i bought a pair they might work for pull-ups and shit like that, but when i put them on the hooks bent with only 405lb on the deadlift, i returned them back and got me another set of straps

Now this is about the only training thing I'd like advise about. Never used the hooks either.Good thread (I hope, but I guess it'll end up politically, Heath hate/love, thank God the Nasser threads are history..)

well i guess if there are salad bowls of chalk all over the place, it might look a bit like a coke factory. Bring your own chunk, rub on a bit when need it for big lifts=fairly clean.
