Hey you're a cichlids man too ? 8)
Dude, over the years I`ve owned every fish you could think of and spawned a lot of different species.
Got into saltwater also.
Cichlids are my main babies though, plus I like South American Leaf Fish and Ctenopomas.
The trick is keeping the babies alive without the parents eating them.
Right now I have 9 tanks up and running.
Fishkeeping helped me to get sober years ago as well as bodbuilding of course.
Good luck with the fry!!

Really funny to hear about shared hobbies other than lifting....I don't put the eggs apart so the scalares will eat them in a few days. You got 9 aquariums?

Yup 9 at the moment.............my wife thinks I`m crazy..............and I have papers that prove she`s right! ;D
You can seperate the eggs in a seperate tank and use an aerator to keep them from fungusing,or just hope a few will survive.

My buddy who also lifts, got a big enough fishtank and has been obsessed with it since then and he finds it very therapeutic (as do I, when I call over and get stoned we watch the fish for a while).

It is therapeutic. What's interesting is that female aquarianists are extremely rare...

;D
Will you translate this??

There are some but they are usually fucking ugly as sin so they don`t matter. :)

Yes, it is a hobby that is shared by many of us Irish. Some would say we do it to excess. It brings a lot of positives but mostly negatives!! Great fun while ya're doing it though! I might give up the sauce some day but I just turned 27...I'll never be a professional fighter if I don't give up this sauce.

Will you translate this??
It's when Wilders (PVV) told the prime minister Rutte: "take it easy man", which gave a lot of comments in the media. This vid is a parody, Wilders says with some Maroccon accent: "Hey dude take it easy, yo homo..." ;D

Word of advice masturbating and ejaculating in the fish tank does not make you the father of those eggs.

those are called plecos
imo those are some of the ugliest fw species, but some people really love them and breed them, since there are so many variants.
-
I got one of these, for years, These fish can get very old. There's always a rivalry with my Labeo. Sometimes it's the boss for a few months, then the other one is...

Thanks for the specifics, but to be honest with you, I am not a fish person. That is unless one can suck a dick. I figured that ugly think would suck anything. Kinda like a girl from Virgina.

dependss on the fish.....some of my so called aggressive fish have been very docile.
Labeos are fuckers, especially when kept with their own kind.

that is an awesome stocklist wes
cichlids have a lot of personality
i am still trying to get my datnoids to not be shy
i have owned a lot of diff cichlid species, i think my favorite is the flowerhorn. it had the most personality and would just follow your hand for food all day long
there is something very peaceful and calming about looking at a beautiful fish tank, kind of feng-shui like

Your mom got laid with me again :)

What have you guys got Diamoncut and Dutch ?
right now i only own a batch of indonesian datnoids and a group of geos
i was going to go get a 180 gallon and stock it with discus and altum angels, with roseline sharks and cardinal tetras with driftwood and plants, but man the cost of stock is insane. i had a good deal on a 180 but i realize that the stock would run me a few hundred, so instead i just spent that on well...gear
some tanks that i like:
-
I don't have much right now. Planning for a big tank.
Just got angelfish, an algae eater, a labeo bicolor, 2 argus, some corydoras (some of my favourites cause they don't give a shit), 12 hockey sticks, 2 kissing gurami's, and some catfish I only spot once every 2 months or so....
-

Nice tanks bro....those flagtail Prochs are the shit.
I usede to have a 100 gallon back in mass. years ago....hgot into salt and had a lionfish,panther grouper,guy trigger,Harlequin wrasse,spotted moray,tangs,etc. etc.
Lots of them had to go as they got too big.
Got into the hobby around 1987 been in and out since but mostly in between moves and such.
-
Is that laterite you`re using as a substrate in the planted tank Hulk ?
I have lots of plants but do not use much to keep them growing.......surprising ly enough.some do quite well.
-
thanks. I can appreciate the fact that your saltwater monsters got too big.
hell, panthers can reach 20"!
back in the 90s I had a 20" giant gourami (a pink one) that was pretty cool.
the planted tank just has black estes gravel.
because the tank is all Valisneria, I just use SeaChem liquid fertilizer and they grow like crazy.
but they are an easy plant. I do have a high intensity light though, I have a T5 High Output dual bulb (2x39w) from AquaticLife. its a great fixture.
