i have had a prejudice against video games for several years but last night i played halo with my woman for a good 3 hours and now im reconsidering. it was a very entertaining way to spend time that would have otherwise been quite uneventful, and it was sort of a bonding experience as well.

I suggest you start with Spanish, then Italian won't be a problem. If you are really serious you could start with Latin....

Reading every business book I can get my hands on and I used to collect videogame memorabilia like the metal gear solid action figures, all the special editions etc, oh and emailing businesses whose emails I find all sorts of crazy queries and bullshit and see if they'll respond. In the future I'd like to collect crocodiles and have a massive home cinema.

Because it's the basis of all Roman languages (Spanish, Italian, French, Portugese). I had it in highschool (don't know if you should call it highschool, more like highschool-plus) and although I never had seperate classes in Spanish or Italian I can read most of the newspapers in those countries because I took Latin. It's very scientific and very logical, although ancient Greek is more interesting...but I'm a language nerd.

I did Latin in school and only did Spanish to GCSE level (16yrs old) but you can make a fair stab at some written sentences in Italian also if you have a very basic understanding of Spanish.

Forced to take it for 3 years before I was ALLOWED to take French!
Terrible system, then again that was ages ago (early 80's), I'm sure the system has changed in Public Schools.

By the way, I also own a huge seawater aquarium and it is one of the most soothing things to have in your home.
On late nights, I enjoy sitting by my aquarium and reading a good book, while occasionally taking a quick peek at the beautiful fish.

don't have time to do more ;D
but I quit my second job last week, I feel MUCH better now
Today was the first sunday in 2 years that I woke up at 7 am instead of 12h-13h 8)

I used to have a 60, small but loaded with corals and fish, gave all the contents to my buddy with a 180. Never had good luck with clown fish, most of them seemed to kill the anemones where they tried to live. :-\ Used to love getting the different shrimps as they really seemed to enjoy picking at your fingers and arm whenever you had to put your hand in the tank.

Quake 3?
I used to play quake2 and frankly I enjoyed it. Tried to move to quake3 coz community is huge, prizemoney and stuff but gameplay seemed a little bit flat. It's better for tournaments, more equal, less random and stuff but honestly seemed much less fun. You can do insane stuff in unreal tournament 99 and quake2.

Gardening. I am currently growing Passion Fruit, Papaya, limes, sweet potatoes, Lychees, mangoes, starfruit, and bananas. My orange and guava trees aren't doing so well, though. I also have a bunch of potted aloe vera plants and lemongrass. Passion Fruit is the most difficult as the vine spreads rapidly and you have to work it nearly everyday to control its growth....I also have to pollinate the flowers by hand whenever I get a chance for the suckers to grow. I have the larger yellow variety....and boy, is it worth it. They are gooooood.
I also collect unopened sodas(yea, I know....its weird). I have bottles of Crystal Pepsi, Pepsi Blue, New York Seltzer, Orbitz, Surge, Raspberry Pepsi, Pepsi Ice and Fire, the Jones Holiday Pack(yes, butternut squash is a soda flavor) amongst my collection.
I play video games from time to time, primarily Left 4 Dead 2.

SInce my mother has retired, she has grown a garden...I am now the one who does all the heavy work for her...I stop by and dig up my parents backyard, much to the chagrin of my dad...Tomatoes, peppers, green beans, squash, strawberries, etc...even have frogs and turtles.
Other than that, i draw...and think up inventions...

Not sure if this is considered a hobby or just an interest but I'm VERY into tech and electronics.... all sorts of tech, from digital AV type tech, mobile tech, computing and gaming! If I'm not on GETBIG or a bodybuilding site then I probably have like 4 different tech sites open! Thats also where a lot of my money ends up going!

let me kno. the manteca course (my town) is one of the best public courses in the state. fairways and greens always in prestine condition, narrow fairways, tons of trees, not too much sand except for around the greens. 18 holes with some cigars and brews.. seperate carts for fast play.

No can do.every weekend is a tournament with prize money to be redeemed at the pro shop so everybody I know plays pretty honest.

im a bit rusty on the official rules it seems ! when playing to score i dont like re-teeing but just moving on to the next shot, one shot at a time. tyring to hit it again from the same spot just frustrates me cuz i usually hit the same shot as i did the first time, or the opposite from over compensating :-[ ;D
what kind of shot do you play ? my main stay is a low draw, cuz my swing is in-to-out and arms are faster than hips, striking the ball like a punch shot whether in in the rough or fairway

Dude the older you get the more you need them. Otherwise you will be woefully disappointed in life, as your friends family and coworkers start to piss you off more and more.
For me it's playing, singing, and writing music. It's kinda been my thing for over 10 years.
I'm also trying pretty hard to pick up a little bit of german, and possibly portuguese/hindi.
Also added to the list in the last little while is my desire to pick up a competitive team sport.
And finally I try really fucking hard to be a knowitall. It's serious business bit of a pain in the ass once you realize most people can't be bothered to pick up/respect basic things like geography.

I use to enjoy jujitsu and striking class. At my age I don't like getting hit in the face anymore or rolling with smelly guys on the mats.
Now I'm getting back into shooting my firearms on the range, going for runs on the boardwalk and enjoying my retirement.
I also get a lot of laughs from this board. I know it's not a comedy board but come on.
