lol, no i'm messing..

carpenters thing is a scifi masterpiece.. so it can never be matched.

let's just hope that this 'prequel' is worthy of being associated with such a great movie.. and the 50s original its a remake of...

Yeah, I don't believe the remake will come close. Most don't. Anyway, I give it a watch.

  After wasting hours of my life with the remakes of Straw Dogs, Piranha and Friday The 13th, I'm pretty much done with them.

  I'm willing to bet that the CGI effects in this one won't come close to the Ron Bottin effects in the original.

The 1982 version was one of the best horror/suspense movies of all time, IMO. A personal favorite.


The suspense, the subtle humor, the gory special effects were outstanding. The black character, 'Childs' was great.


"do you believe in this voodoo bullshit?"  ;D


The ending was unexpected and very well done...."why don't we just sit here awhile and see what happens"


I'll give the remake a look when it comes out on cable.

this is actually the third thing movie first was made in 1951, james arness came out of the block of ice, no kidding.

I do not think they went overboard with CGI.  All done nicely...lots of "nods" to original.

Have to agree with line : "You've gotta fucking be kidding".....NEVER get tired of that line.
