Ron Paul
you would have to get all of them out and start from scratch

you would have to get all of them out and start from scratch
For once I agree with you blacken.

you're not going to get them all out and start over, so that leaves Paul as the only option in this area.

TARP/TALF/FED POLICY etc were terrible ideas.
Should have let them fail, or broken them up the govt. could have back stopped lending etc. Instead we gave trillions to still insolvent banks and we are out of bullets and no problems were solved.

Solution: Execute all unemployed people that are 21 and over. Employ several thousand workers as ditch diggers for mass graves, then once the project is complete, have the ditch diggers shot and thrown into the mass graves as well.
This plan would stimulate the economy, terrorize the populous and eliminate all dissent. Similar tactics have worked in other leftist social utopias such as China, North Korea, various despotic regimes in Africa+ the Middle East.

The whole distinction they try to make between business spending and consumer spending is a load of crap. What if bad decisions were made with the business spending? What if the resulting products stopped working out and stopped selling? That would be worse than responsible consumer spending.

Banks are not lending because of the following:
1. Economy sucks and loans to businesses have higher chance of default.
2. banks can make money by loaning money to the govt at the fed discount window. Even though it is small percentage, it's better than losing.
3. Banks are still preparing for years of re foreclosures and the loss of capital reserves that will mean.
4. Dodd frank.
There are others, but that is what is going on.
