that was dumb

and AIDS is a term used to describe a collection of symptoms where HIV compromises the immune system to the point at which they collectively arise.

While SIV virus is harmless to humans in most cases, continued infection of multiple hosts allowed the virus to mutate until it became HIV.

Then it spread from Africa troughout the world.
