You dont need clear resolution to see massive size like that. Nasser is clearly making them both look small and not just in the back and lats. His delt arm combo is ridiculous. Nassers back wasn't 'small' by any means, he was 280lbs for christ sakes. He just lacked the proper structure and genetics to have an appealing and detailed back. What a bunch of bullshit you just spewed out dude..

nasser was not at his best in 97.. flex magazine wrote this but it was not true.. the same as they wrote after mr. olympia 96 that dorian looked better in 96 than 95.. actually dorian himself said this after the contest but sure now after all these years he has a different opinion and in a recent interview he said 95 was his best olympia..

this is what i was just saying.. 97 was nasser's best according to flex magazine but it's not true.. he had many better shows.. but in dorian's case he himself mentioned directly after mr. olympia 96 that he looked better than 95 but after retirement when he looked at things neutrally he chose 95 as his best..

I think Nasser's back was an area on his physique where he needed very specific conditioning and posing to make it look good. I think even the backstage pump made a huge difference for him. If even an element of the above were out of place, Nasser's back would look drastically different [for the worse] yet it could be up with the best of them if the above conditions were in place. Compare that to Nasser's chest and legs which looked good even when he was well over 300 pounds and off-season. I think some bodybuilders in some particular areas need a very specific protocol to make things look good.
For example, look at how increased body fat affects the chests of both Jason Huh and Ben Pakulski. While Jason Huh's chest looks thicker than ever, Ben's disappears as it blends into the rest of his torso. I wonder if perhaps my lack of chest is affected as strongly by body fat. I guess I can't know unless I cut down but the photos below are rather fascinating with respect to just how conditioning affects some bodybuilders and not others, in terms of specific muscle groups:

i think u mean Arnold winning in 1980 (but he did deserve to win) or maybe u mean franco in 1981, now thats a different story. oh and dont blame the judges for nasser not winning, he just wasnt good enough. not hating but he couldnt compete from the back and then there are the later years with the oil it just went further down hill from there
