Title: Serges workout
Post by: Domthemilky on October 12, 2011, 02:47:12 PM
I remember reading on here when surge was posting and him having a pdf with his supposed workout routine.

Did anyone ever stick to that way of training for a decent amount of time? If i remember correctly he advocated high reps (15-20) low rest (30-45 secs between sets) and lots of sets (around 8-10 for each exercise)

I sometimes finish my workout with high volume when bored and wanting to try something new, but im not sure how effective that method is for building muscle, certainly would help with endurance some what especially when training legs I'd imagine...

Im a natural guy-I did the routine working bodyparts once a week instead of two and definitley put on some size-but with anything I got tired of it-but I feel the 6 days a week volume like that is for people on hormones -even though he denied any usage..... ::)

Genetic elite + drugs = great build.

Haha thats true, very good genetics. Don't you train similar to that wes though, fast paced with little rest but more super sets than real heavy weights?

I kinda liked the back /hams combo-he also said to do an hour of abs before for cardio- :o0-thats why he needed hip replacement..

I mix it up,but generally, moderate to heavy weights, lots of intensity techniques, but nowhere near the amount of volume a guy like Nubret could get away with.

Usually my first set is fairly light and 15-20 reps depending on the exercise and the bodypart being worked, then I`ll pyramid up at times even doing 3-5 reps.............again depends on the exerrcise and where I`m at (periodizationwise) in my training.
