what a bloody crock, his dad is a pastor and would talk about all that kind of shit around him all the time. the kid was probably in an induced coma with his parents by his bedside talking about her worry at losing another kid, or he may just spy on his parents and hear some shit when they think hes sleeping.

There are more than a few that claim to follow the Christ that are, in fact, quite stupid. Kinda like some of my fellow atheists that are stupid enough to make what are called "blanket statements" (see your quote above for an example).
