A nice way o fix this would be to sign fights or let opponents be known just a week or two before the fight instead of knowing for 12 weeks and game planning after studying the same guy for that perfiod of time.. it would force better more action packed fights with more well rounded athletes as opposed to just exposed studied weakneness imo.. of course this will never happen though.

Correct. Unique styles are more rare than ever these days. Machida, Anderson, watch them while you can because you won't see guys like that in the future.
UFC is turning mma into point fighting wrestle boxing with some WWE added to it for entertainment.
And yes, tournaments would made the sport so much better or just fighters not knowing who their opponent is going to be. American MMA needs total reform before its too late.

I think every fighting organization should do this, especially that fucking boxing. Boxing won't make a match unless it's prepared 100000 years before hand, they go in the future with time machine to study how the match will go and won't make fights unless you get more money in a match than gordon gecko gets in a year ::)
Everything is about money now days, noone cares about honor and respect other than amateur fighters and club fighters... or just regular practitioners in gyms, they have honor. Once you start making big does, you don't care about honor and warriors spirit or any of that dragonball z shit, you care to get paid.

Hype is what puts food on everyones tables and 1 more Ferrari in Dana Whites driveway blah blah I know its about the moolah but i`d be better for the fans if it were more about the fundamentals of the sport. Instead its been exploited and fundamentally raped by corporations looking for ratings. Im just looking at it from a fans perspective.
