Both Greg Dwyer and Andy Cunningham both blew the other competitors off the stage to win the Australian under 80kg and under 100kg titles.Great to see two great guys doing so well.
Greg had placed 12th in a masters Mr Olympia and Andy had not competed as a pro since winning his Pro card.He helped Lee Priest get ready for so many shows.Congrats to two Great Body Builders.

It was fantastic, Andy won his last Australian title in 1992, turned pro in 1993 and then broke his back. He he never competed as a pro despite having won his pro card qualifier. He is now 44 and the best he has ever been. See pics below.

Why the Hate on greg and andy noone complained when Neil Gardener aka Monster Dwarf did small shows no pun intended.

Agreed, Andy never competed as a pro and Greg was 12th in a masters comp. Big deal.
To see 2 guys in their mid and late 40s in this kind of shape us awesome.

Greg competed on the weekend at 48 years old in a national title under 80kg (176lb).
I would have thought the younger guys had the advantage.
Why hate when you can congratulate?
-
Well said Messiah when will you be back competing, why not post some of you comp pics most here don't know how good a BB you were back in the day.

I wont be competing again, still train everyday but no competing. Should I ever post my pics on the thunderdome? OK just one, 1996 I think.

No you have confirmed how stupid you are, let me explain again, they are not pros. One was as a master with not much success = no call outs, no titles.
The other one never competed as a pro, hadn't been on stage in 18yrs.

Smart man knows when to fold em.With your auzzie dollar hitting $1.10 US will you prize money be up in 2012 and is there any chance Lee Priest will compete.Would be the best thing he could do for his BB and his life.
-
Why the Hate on greg and andy noone complained when Neil Gardener aka Monster Dwarf did small shows no pun intended.
because he didnt belong on a pro stage and often competed without abs.

lee has talked waaayy to much shit about the australian ifbb to come back, he is probably too proud to come back anyway. isnt he with WBBF or somthing now?

Good point at least Greg placed 12th masters Olympia and you could be right about Priest he has burned a lot of bridges. But Mr Paul Graham is a forgiving man remember when he left Lee in Poland after he failed a drug test.Next thing at the Niaggra PRO/AM he was given an IFBB Pro card.So Mr Graham does have a heart.

Mr Graham does have a heart.
not according to lee :P i would be very surprised if they ever reconciled

Lee has moved on from IFBB, he was doing something with NABBA then signed to Dillet's federation. His choice. He has not competed since 2006 but was in great shape last time I saw him.
He does not need to reconcile with Paul Graham and neither he or Lee are interested in becoming friends in the near future. It is Mr Manion that runs the pro league and would be up to him if Lee were ever to be an IFBB Pro again.

Oh boy...

Was it Manion or Demila who gave Priest his Pro card without ever winning it?

Hey, congrats on a great physique! And here I thought you were just another schmoe contest promoter, never knew you competed.

Thanks, I competed for about 8 years straight but then started promoting and did not want to be a wanker and compete in my own shows, so that was it. However I kept training hard and actually got way better after retiring from competition. I was Sonny's training partner for about 5 Olympias. Will dig up some more old photos when I get time.
I have been big, small, ripped, fat, jacked and everything in between. These days happy to stay lean as I can around the 100kg mark.

Neil was (recently retired) a great bodybuilder who gave it a good shot, so why put him down for it?
-
Well said AVGB, Neil has won about 7 national titles as an amateur. Tried out in the pro ranks where he tried the size game and it didn't show him at his best. As an under 70kg amateur competitor, unbeatable at his best. He also did around a dozen world championships, cracking the top 6 at his best.

Scott Goble looks like Robert Burneika off the steroids ;D
seriously though Goble looks good, great conditioning

I think it's a gray area - if you're good enough to win nationals every time, you shouldn't really compete in that, just because you feel you can't compete in the harder organization. It's like Skip Lacour winning the Team Universe so many times - not really fair to the other competitors when you should move on if you're that good.
-
Yeah who cares how many times you win Mr Chump once or 7 times your still Mr Chump.Andy taught Priest most of what he knows.
-
Is Greg living in Brisbane ? Pretty short and bald ?
If it's the same Greg I'm thinking about then congratulations .. very nice guy , used to train at the same gym but they shut it down.
-
Greg and Andy are both great guys.If the greg you knew was as wide as a driveway then bang that's him. Both been around BB forever.Congrats to 2 great Champions.
-
Post more pics messiah you look way better than that little guy who had a Pro card. Not hating just saying.Did you win nationals or go to Worlds?
-
only decent competitor who I think can match it with the big boys in the states is abraham, however he is a NABBA competitor hope he makes the transition over to the ifbb, make scott goble look like a little school boy.
Unfortunately australia hasnt produced a decent pro since lee priest/
-
Priest is a God.
