So i just bought a 2011 nissan altima-i love it-its got a backup camera, satellite radio, and keyless ignition.
it was making weird noise so i brought it to nissan and it trned out to be a factory defect in the alternator or something to do w/ a bearing.
i needed a car for work and i asked if they offered a loaner car but they told me i did not have the correct plan for a free rental
so i had the rental for 2 days, and they charged me 60 bucks.
was that right i was charged? i called the dealer to discuss this, and they were not friendly.
what do i do?

It all says in the fine print bud. We all know car dealerships are like loan sharks. You dont read, you pay. You put your signature on the dotted lined, you're locked in. Try again with the assholes at the dealership and see if you can get reimbursed for your $60 due to company defect or factory defect whichever term they'd like to label it as. If they dont follow through, then get a name of whoever sold/leased you the car and follow up with the corporate office also mention that you're going to report that specific dealership with the BBB.
P.S. Make sure you have all the dates!

Ironically I have ( 3 technically ) AR-15s and two Glocks ;D but no desire to go postal.

what the hell is the point of owning 3 ar-15s? you planning on shooting up a mall with 2 mates? there is -no- practical use for them

Well, you never know when the day comes you don't get any breakfast at McDonald's and your ex-wife marries a young, black jewish female, on this day you will need them. ::)

pay $9 for insurance, you can do whatever you want with a rental car. ;)
-
*Note to self* do not piss off ND ;D

Did you make an appointment before bringing your car in ?
Did you request a loaner when you made the appointment?
If you just showed up with no appointment chances are they aren't going to have any loaners available.
Dealers generally do not use rental companies for sublets, that's why they have their own loaner cars.
Im not familiar with Nissan's warranty policies, but if the car is under factory warranty and you are the original owner you can complain to Nissan corporate and most likely get somewhere.

Gene, you can't go on like this. You're a nice guy but people take advantage. It's not right.
Go back to the dealership, find the salesman who sold you the car, and tell him that you want to talk to him Man to Man.
-
Did you tell them you're NW83 from getbig?
Last time I brought the Rolls to the shop I told them I was Taco and they flew me around in a jet for the week.

So baically you don't know what the problem is with it? Here is a hint, do some research, Nissan has had issues with their VQ series V6's...they run rough and other issues. Which is why they are having an agreement with Mercedes to start using their V6s
