By going to Costco and sticking to a pretty strict diet I spend about $350-400 a month on groceries. Pricey considering it isnt food I enjoy as it's mostly chicken, tuna, turkey breast, eggs, tilapia and complex carbs. How much are you guys spending?
-
I dont know, your mom pays for my groceries. :)
-
I don't want to even think about it, so depressing. I just paid $4.89 for 3 average sized bananas here. >:(
-

United Kingdom is pretty expensive for good quality food. Especially fresh meat and fish.
1lb of chicken breast will cost you $6 (US) in most supermarkets :(

No thanks, I don't want your banana. Better keep it for that stalker girl of yours. ;D

So they get up in their underwear after dinner and pose in front of a mirror? :-\ I am glad I am not a fly on your wall. ;D

$20-$40. My other half does all the shopping. I only go when I realize I need something and don't want to wait until the next official shopping trip. I prefer Safeway, but he pefers Whole Foods and Trader Joes. Once in a while we go to all three stores in the same day! ::)
-
$600-800.00 wholefoods, trader joe's, sams club.

For all you guys that are having problems paying your food bill, just go down to a busy intersection in your area with a sign saying (I will fuck for food) and you should do okay.

lol, fuck that shit ! :o
where's here ?
-
Not much, though it's expensive.
Though I rather pay for good food than gulp down that in bulk shit any day... exactly what runs down our planet - in bulk idiocy.
-

Australia.

A few hundred bucks each month between the wife and I. Eggs and egg whites carry me a long way. So we can eat tons of fish, chicken and steak as well without putting a huge dent in things.
I used to pay about 50% more when I first moved out and didn't have a gf/wife. Now that I've spent years shopping on my own and know how to cook awesome (and appropriately) I don't even have to search for deals or use coupons. Everything just balances itself out.
-
Australia.
ah well, at least you have the consolation of living in oz :)
-
No idea. I just buy whatever I want and don't even enter it on a spreadsheet or a bar graph or anything. Fuck the police.
-
For the wife and I, 800-1000.

truthfully i find it cheaper to eat 'clean' as opposed to 'dirty'.

There's worse places to live. Still the cost of living here is extremely high. Carbon tax, is going to make everything more expensive as well.

I try to keep it to $100 a week.. Chicken, red meat, whole eggs, and vegetables are not that bad. I spend around $100 a month on chocolate though that needs to stop :-\

Do you notice anything from the cocoa?

Do you notice anything from the cocoa?
..Dorian ate tons of it so it's good enough for me ;D I usually cant go over 70% cocoa far too bitter, always get it with almonds or hazelnuts. I think eating one of those things has a hell of alot more benefits than oatmeal or brown rice anyways, as the health benefits of cocoa are well documented.

That shit with hazelnuts is the bomb!
Even with expensive chocolates though, it's hard for me to just savour it. I want to keep savouring over and over and over and over until all the chocolate is gone lol... then my wife flips shit and I'm in the dog house. ;D

Cocoa is so good for you. Definitely worth splurging on regularly in the off season. :P With Dark chocolate, you only need a little bit to feel satisfied too.

this thread has been done to death, if your gonna start another one of these threads atleast do it based on a fortnight, a day, a week, a pay period, per moon, whatever but atleast try to make it somewhat original.
Anyhow food got expensive over the last couple of years and it's not because your some mass monster, and please no theories about government taxes, or inflation, there are more people eating better around the world hence more expensive food.
-
$500-600% .. i dont buy junk, just expensive cut of steak and salmon..those are the expensive items.
-
I recently did last years taxes (had extension) and I avg'd ~$600/month eating out. I'd estimate I spent another $100/week for regular groceries for myself and my GF.
The last month preparing for a show, I've been to the grocery store nearly every single day and rarely spend less than $50 when doing so. But on the other hand, don't eat out at all.

When you're lean and starving, it's cathartic to walk around the store, the mall, anywhere. Anything but be home and be hungry. Fill all my free time when not working keeping busy.
