I would say traps give you that strong look.
What do you say?

I would say traps give you that strong look.
What do you say?
I say: "what is your exact location?"
-
I would say the dick, It does not matter how big you are if you do not have a big dick then you failed.
-
Wide shoulders, big traps, thick veiny forearms..
No homo
-
SHOULDER WIDTH
-
Def. the glute-ham tie-in as well as whatever is worked by vigorous upright rows.
-
Wide, developed shoulders for sure. Back in the day it was shoulders before chest.
-
SHOULDER WIDTH
Width without thickness isn't worth much, I have seen skinny guys as wide as a bodybuilder but absolutely skinny.
I say neck and traps, they give you that bodybuilder / athlete look.

True..
-
chest is the part all champions should have. also back.
width is a factor in the powerful look.
-
Width and thickness. Also, chest.
-

I passed! ;D
-
I'd say the anal sphincter...
-
One can always assess an athlete's strength from how he looks from the back, not how he looks from the front.
-
Shoulders.
-
Shoulders/Traps and forearms
-
"Huge without being supidly huge, powerful looking, lean without being stupidly lean and imo an aesthetic physique many can appreciate."
"That's a great everyday look, easy to maintain without a ton of gear."
;D
-
That's what I mean, guy's really squeezing his sphincter here..

;D
epitome of a powerful look, though very advanced.

Neck
-
Thick traps going up to ears, wide shoulders, thick back, thick chest. Thick everything, basically. Or, in other words, Ron Coleman:

I'd agree, but I'd change the order to Neck, Forearms, Shoulders.

Even without see the rest of him, you can tell he was a beast from that neck.................

traps
-
A genetically large chest. I don't mean a big chest but one that is genetically well shaped and has the mass to go along with it. Aka Ronnie Coleman, arrnold!, lee Haney, zyzz

Brutal small trap jealousy ;D

The most impressive body part on a GIRL is a nice round ASS

twister looking thick.

What do you say?
It's an overall look of thickness, whole body.
Just one part? I'd say traps, the average trainer barely does shrugs, usually with 75# DBs, so most anyone that has built traps has put in effort to lift heavy shit.

So you use the 75#?

So you use the 75#?
Only when I train biceps. :-[

I think too many have big traps. When the bb flu was going around in our little town nearly all dudes had traps... only thing that grew on them.

Maybe they all attended Derek Springers Synthol 101 training classes ???
-
the "traps" you guys are talking about is more of a short/thick neck effect. Levrone had huge traps but didnt look like a powerlifter because his head was on a thin stick. Serge Nubret was the same and its way more aesthetic this way imo.

Not at all, do you know what a trap is vs a neck?
-
I stopped training my traps as I did not have time but if you DL you do not need to do them.

DL, cleans, tire flips, farmers walks......
-
Saying that traps respond very well and quickly when they are trained.

a lot of guys have good chest, arms etc, in fact you can see a lot of guys with those bodyparts and thats all they have.
you see someone with impressive traps chances are they have a pretty complete physique, and he looks fucking powerful.
i agree with what fortress said too- want to see how powerful someone is look at them from behind, not from the front.
nothing looks more impressive on someone than thick traps, cause chances are they have the back to match.
-
When I see a féllá on the street, the FIRST thing I look at are the traps. Big, thick traps = lifter, in my mind.
-
traps/back
-
Wide shoulders and thick arms.
-
Traps? ;D If you have big traps/neck and stick calves, you are going to look like an idiot.
Lats is the answer. Whoever said it was right about looking powerful from the back.

hey thanx bro!! neck, forearms and calves are about the most seen of the bodyparts. so they are a good starting place.
Mike Mentzer had an article in the early 80s titled Shoulders make the man.

Delts/Traps

and the delt workout was 1 set of front presses and 1 set of negative laterals
followed by 6 months off for full recovery
and .00012 grms protein per lb bodyweight

Dick comes first then being lean about 7% , veins in hand and forearms no matter how it's big , width shoulder , at least 5"8 tall.
Strong jaw is very important too
-
I would say at least 6' tall!
-
Arms are the first things most people notice..
nice round tall traps help, but so does a big neck and wide shoulders... possibly even....
A NARROW waist!!!!!
If you wear shirts (like most people do) it helps if your chest sticks out farther than your belly.
-
Shoulders....width is everything.
