How much do better programs would someone make training with a plan versus someone going to the gym with no plan and just doing random shit but training with the same intensity, drug intake and food?

Strongest and biggest I ever got was following a plan made by our strength and conditioning coach. We had to take home this packet in the summer find a partner and do the program. It was some bigger faster stronger program. I would enter each one of my lifts get a certain amount of reps. Every week the weight went up a certain percent. Having a partner was very helpful to. I got a lot out of every session. Made doing cardio a lot easier to.

Ya i think I know the program you talking about its from a college strength training book called bigger stronger faster. I used to sell books that was one of the best strength manuals I have ever seen. I know hard to belive with my horrible grammer I sold books lol

IMO, depends how well you know your body. For years I would train according to a plan for 8 weeks and then change the plan. As I got to know my body more though, I started focusing more on the training day/rest split and also what body parts better needed development etc. Regardless of what you do, just make sure you are keeping the intensity high and you'll make gains.

bfs, that is a training equipment catalog if I remember correctly, everything in it was written to sell things. we can't be talking about the same thing can we. they even sold fake plates

How much do better progresms would someone make taining with a plan versus someone going to the gym with no plan and just doing random shit but training with the same intensity, drug intake and food?
Planning is everything. At the beginning of each season I give out a detailed plan of our training system (to schools) to each athlete. It covers soft-tissue work, dynamic warm-ups, speed, strength training, conditioning and flexibility and how we deal with injured athletes, what I expect from each athlete (effort, attitude, etc) and facility rules. The packet is detailed for the entire year from off season (starting usually two months after the end of a season ex; football) also covers nutrition and recovery.
Planning should apply to EVERYONE not just team training.

100% agree. I don't see how people expect serious results with zero plan in mind. Sure, they might see some improvement, but they aren't going to maximize it like a good plan will help do.

if you are natural it really helps to have a plan
if you are on drugs you can always increase the dosage but it's still a good idea to have a plan
