i was talking to this woman in the gym this morning, and she was hinting about a date (had an idea i've been checking her out), and i'm really feeling this song at this moment. barry white just gets you in big game hunter mode to go after a beautiful woman. :)

Em sounds like a mad muppet.
Today, it's image driven. Image first, talent last. As long as you can be flashy, douchey, then you can be big in the "game".
Listen to Gangstar's "Mass Appeal" and "Just to Get a rep" or EPMD's "Crossover"...those songs explain the situation

Led Zeppelin IV - 40 Years Ago Today
November 8, 2011
40 years ago today, the greatest rock band of all-time released the greatest rock album of all-time, Led Zeppelin IV. A powerhouse from the legendary opening vocal intro of “Black Dog” to the final notes of the hypnotic Mississippi blues-infused “When The Levee Breaks,” IV contains eight radio classics including “Rock And Roll,” “The Battle Of Evermore,” “Misty Mountain Hop,” “Four Sticks,” “Going To California,” and, of course, the ultimate rock anthem, “Stairway To Heaven.”
-
Excellent. I would also put some Stylistics on...
Zeppelin is Rock.
-
I love Lisa Stansfield!!! Wonderful voice for sure.
Music today is a complete letdown.

We`re old,but we had awesome music in our times!!
Todays shit lasts about a month then it`s thankfully forgotten until the next talentless jerk pumps out something shitty.

Overproduction Killed music, the year 1997.
auto-tune was release and Pro Tools reached 24 bit and it took over the music industry.

Music is doing fine just go out in public and count the ipods. The music ain't the issue it's that the labels have died. Independent music is fucking huge, you fucks are just too old to get it.

I believe Roger and Zap were doing Auto-tune well before 97.
Music died when the execs focused more on image AND overproduction of junk, just like the Big Three in the 70s-80s. They discourage innovation and encouraged immitation.
