Title: I'm not one for censorship but...
Post by: Hugo Chavez on November 15, 2011, 04:03:04 AM
During this last halloween we went into a K-mart to see what kind of costumes they had and in the same alley for toddlers and little kids they were selling DVD copies of The Human Centipede.  WTF?  That shit is not right IMO...  I watched it but I don't think shit like this should be marketed in a section of the store for kids.

It's about a demented surgeon that wants to connect several people ass to mouth to form a human centipede.

seriously, how do you prevent shit like this without putting it in the hands of the government?  It would be nice if K-Mart and other corporations just had a little fuckin common sense on shit like this.  no way extreme movies like this should be marketed along with stuff for children...

Or doesn't anyone give a fuck about this? No Parents here?

LOL... not...

but I did like the show... I love the WTF shit, crap like Visitor Q... I'll watch Cent. Part II... Just hope I don't have to see it marketed to my kid in K-mart next year.  That's kinda sad they would do that.

Did you try calling in to complain? I doubt that was a corporate decision... probably some sly underling put those DVDs there for a good laugh.

Seeing how it came with a halloween promo display promoting it, I doubt it was some sly underling.

I can't imagine this being a corporate decision either but since I've never even heard of the movie maybe the responsible person just didn't know.  A complaint should get it knocked down.

The movie had a display which was geared toward Halloween.  It was part of a set of a few movies picked for Halloween and many of the movies were kinda extreme too.  This was right beside shit for little kids. They had an adult costume section and they didn't put it in that area, they had this movie in the section for kids and toddlers.  And the way stuff is set up is usually sent down from above.

Can you imagine purchasing that for your kid and then they come to you with questions and you have to explain it?
