Ruhl looked better here at a lighter weight. If he only stayed at this weight and fine tuned a few things on his physique then he would of placed a lot higher and even win more contests.

He already had the mass and width to hang with anyone. I just don't know why he wanted to get bigger and throw his body out of proportion. All he had to do was work on his conditioning and he would of had a great career.

Ruhl in 1999 is one of my fav. physiques... would love to be a huge freak like that. Too much slin abuse ruined his physique... same old story

I didn't say he had a bad career. He would of had an even better career if he stayed at this weight and work on his conditioning instead of ballooning up and getting out of proportion and losing his condition. The only contest where he looked great as a mass monster was the NOC 2002.
Wow, he made it to the Olympia. You know how many guys make it to the Olympia and don't do much? Markus is one of them. He only won 2 contests as a Pro. Why? Because he started to get out of proportion because he got too big. He was marked down for his obvious synthol abuse and his lack of conditioning. He tried to play the mass game and it didn't quite work out the way he planned. Bigger is not always better in his case. It's quite obvious everyone else agrees with me in this thread. Just read the comments.

Wow, he made it to the Olympia. You know how many guys make it to the Olympia and don't do much? Markus is one of them. He only won 2 contests as a Pro.
Markus had success at the Olympia stage. He was fifth in 2004 and basically destroyed everybody on challenge round(on the eyes of fans). He beat Jay and Dexter and just missed sixth place at the 2000 Olympia. 4 times at the top-8. He had a good carrier. :)
2002-2004 he was a force but injuries piled up and his body couldn't handle it anymore.

Massive at one point, and in a good way, but as said, it all fell apart, quickly.

Just wondering what others thought. He always strikes me as a "possible" member of that club. Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course.
