I mean they're the 100's :o
Go to your gym and pick up a 100 lbs dumbbell and remember this video.
-
a little bit of momentum but yeah Levrone was a strength freak.
-
He does no negatives, typical bro exercising.
-
is all tren strength

You're right...he just lets the 100lber drop to his side nearly ripping his arm out of each socket with every rep. ::)
-
big deal- I do that shit all the time when no one is around
-
there are some clips on youtube of a 17 year old guy curling the 100's for reps with almost the same form maybe even better.
-
Big fucking deal................I`ve curled the 70`s for 5 reps seated with a much slower negative while weighing in at about 170 or so.

Thanks Dave.....I`m gonna` try to work back up to that again........I`m pretty much down in power now due to doing 3 contests.
-
Yeah and I am a better singer than Levrone...

Yeah and I am a better singer than Levrone...
That would be a given! :)

i wish i could find the clips of that kid, he was a big giant Baby Huey looking guy, 6'4" and maybe 330 pounds, had clips barbell rowing 405 for 15 with good form, pulling a 700 pound stiff legged deadlift, box squatting 725, etc.

That wasn`t me. ;D

dna + ped
-
is me...or does kev look a little high?
-
there was a youtube of a 17 year old kid curling 100lb dumb bells with less swinging and a stricter negative. it was posted here
-
Those don't looks like anything close to 100-lb DBs to me but maybe it's just because he's so big.
-
Judging by his mannerisms, and the look on his face.. yeah definatley high.
On what, dont know... probably painkillers judging by the way he was searching for his words.

He finally came out awhile back, admitting to Flex Wheeler, that he was a alcoholic during much of his competitive days. I've seen him be like that in many videos, I'm pretty sure he's also a bit slow on the uptake as well. Whatever he's on isn't helping either.
-
Levrone was a monster... plain and simple. How many other guys were flat benching 5 plates 2 weeks out from the O??

there 100 just look at his guns :o 24 did he say
-
looks and sounds somewhat shitfaced in the gym too. he often seems to come across as a real dick and insincere even in his levrone report clips trying to be all fallsview positive, but I have always thought his physique (and response to gear) was insane.
-
successful dude.

no another kid, not as muscular or lean as this kid just big and country strong.
-

we're probably talking about the same kid, big, curly haired, goofy looking, huge boned kid throwing around the 100's like nothing for reps.
-
he is so high on something

probably, i don't remember what he looked like just he was one strong kid, not even considering his age. i'll go find the videos
-

what do you think it was? coke?
-
i remember reading a story on here or another board about Levrone being a really heavy drinker pre contest and how he would lock himself in his bedroom and get drunk and play with army figures or something crazy like that, dude was definitely different.
-
http://www.getbig.com/boards/index.php?topic=255673.0
that was the thread, the videos were taken down for some reason but he was squating 725, rowing 400 and hammer curling 100s like it was nothing without any swinging or leaning.
-
what do you think it was? coke?
low carb dieting

epic boyfriend, what the shit???
How was your business trip bro?
-
There are 4 X 10 and 1 X 7 1/2 pounds per side. The handle makes it up to 100. Very impressive.
-
is me...or does kev look a little high?
yep
that was the first thing I thought when I watched this
the dude can't even finish his sentence, then tries again and can't do it and then tries again and still can't make a coherent point
-

Yeah i dont think it is a big deal at all considering he is roided up and one of the top bodybuilders of all time. Hell even at 21 i was doing 65 and that was natural without being very muscular at all. No reason a guy that big on that many hormonas shouldnt be able to curl 100s.
-
I think Samuelson at his peak could do it quite easely.
I would say 315x 4 barbell curls = ~120-130 lbs db curls
-
that form is pretty damn good too
is he drunk in that vid?
-
:D ;D
-
Would Heath be able to curl with 100s? ;D
-
Back in the day bluto and MOS had an epic battle when MOS said he could curl 90's :D
-
Would Heath be able to curl with 100s? ;D
Only thing he can curl is his toe nails at the pedicure salon.
-
Ridiculous momentum... really not that impressive at all.
What I would say makes it impressive is the fact that he is most likely on like no carbs and very minimal calories.

nah
-
There was a clip of a kid curling 150lb dbwith perfect form x 50 reps
Billy smith filmed it, jim quinn commented on it, jimmy pellechia vouched for it
-
nah
Yah
Someone that big, 100lb curls for like 4 each arm is not impressive.
-

Exactly!
-
Maybe its just me, but standing dumbell curls are MUCH harder than seated. I do mine seated and can easily do 20-30 pounds more that way. So, what Levrone does there is extremely impressive, at least for me.
-
what? standing curls are a lot easier because you will subconsciously involve your back and delts in the movement while with seated you are a bit more stationary. but i don't think there's that big of a distinction between the two, the only one that would really serve for a good comparison for determining someone's strength would be preacher curls where your elbow is fixed
-

Damn. The negative is what makes a heavy curl good, in my opinion. A lot of people can jerk some weight up, but can't lower it with control. Samuelson here lowers the 315 nicely and slowly. Very impressive.

I've done em

I've done em
video or bs ;)

usually im skeptical on a lot of claims but Groink i could see curling the 100's, hes a huge muscular dude.
-
Yeah Groink is huge.
-
the thing i always say about dumbbell curls is that its way easier to curl big db's when you twist your hand and supinate as opposed to having your palm up the whole time like in a straight barbell curl, if you can handle anything over 70's that way you are one STRONG bastard.
-

Thanks...yeah, I was 260+ when I did them. It wasn't pretty, straight up ego stroke

maybe swing curls not contracting at the top like most 100lbs db curl videos on youtube.

you mean that time when you where natural and stronger than you are now on aas ??? ;D

I'm probably just as strong now, or stronger..pound for pound . and I'm almost 40 pounds lighter

Do you feel you get stronger after 20 years of aas usage or is it about the same?

Girls and sons who have not been loved by their fathers seek attention once teens and adults to compensate for what they didnt have originally. Fathers either left them alone, or were distant most of the time and not encouraging them. Some even despised them which would shape their personality and the way they d interact with others for the rest of their life.
They are extremistic in everything they do, always looking exageratly for attention, and have troubles adapting to society's rules, because they also have troubles defining their own identity and respecting authority and hierarchy.
Also boys who got picked on by others during childhood and adolescence -often sons without a father figure- try to compensate by lifting weights, to develop muscles and survive in ther male world. They re insecure because they re girly, childish, feminine having been raised by a single mom. They lift obsessively hoping it will transform them into men, to compensate for their lack of influence from a father figure that was not there. Unfortunaltey they can get as big as they can it doesnt cure their insecurity and who they truly are, how they grew up being raised by a single mom. They re no as manly as other men whatever they do, and they often have a big lack of masculine presence they dont know how to balance, hence often being borderline homosexuals while trying to get their manhood back thru various manly activities (mma, cars, weight lifting etc). They are often the ones that, in order to get respect from other males will go the steroids route to get even "bigger" attemptint to cure their insecurity , but being natural not being "enough", they still feel "too small", insecure, amongst other males. The lack of a father figure also often means they didnt have guidance to continue studies and are often working shitty manual jobs.

Strong mofo. One of my favorites.

Of course Samuelson could hes a mountain of a man and could probably rep out 225 curls till you got bored of watching. Levrone doing the 100s is pretty impressive for his 5'9 170lb frame no doubt, he was always freakishly strong. Usually the big dudes are the ones curling super heavy weights like that. Didnt Lou Ferrigno rep the 90s seated in pumping iron.. ? Bertil Fox threw the 90s around pretty easy too, and he had an average frame size.. I personally saw Scott Steiner curl the 120s like feathers back in the late 90s, another guy who was built like a mack truck with really short arms. Im sure there are plenty of strongmen who go even heavier than that just based on their huge structures, god only knows what Kazmaier used to curl.. Any info on that ?

Kaz used to make some pretty crazy claims on curls, something like 315 with the straight bar for reps, the Barbarians used to swing up the 150's for a few.

Ive seen the vid of one of them, Peter or Paul not sure, comically tossing around the 150s. def strong but they'd be lucky to get the 100s up with better form.

yeah even swinging them up takes a shitload of strength but 90's or 100's is more realistic.
