Like what?  They are all out there already?

33 is right.  He doesn't have skeletons.  His affair and hypocrisy are out there, as well his past ethics problems.  I've always thought those disqualified him--especially the hypocrisy--but he just might prove me wrong.

If Obama keeps polling at 43% like this, his own party is going to force him to step down.

And you think Obama is the answer THIS time despite his record of failure, incompetence, treason, lying, theft, looting, pillaging, etc.   FNG idiot.

What ever the left can make up and not prove.

maybe they'll accuse him of having a kenyan birth certificate.
Then, the burden will be upon the ACCUSED to prove he's innocent.

Double standard.  Cain's got tons of accusers, but 61 text messages isn't enough proof.
Trump and repubs accused obama of birth cert, and it was upon HIM to produce long-form.

How's that work?  lol, I can bet that if Obama had PAID $100,000 to the birth certificate people to 'make the issue go away', yall would be screaming about how guilty he was.

let's face it, newt is probably the best that the repubs are going to produce.

huntsmann and ron paul and bachamnn are way better on issues, with FAR less baggage.

But it's probably time to admit that newt is going to be this year's default choice like mccain was last time.  The best of the rest.

SO let's have a good race.  He isn't perfect, but he's smart and will do a better job than mccain did.

If Newt performs like this in the debates and on the stomp against Obama - it wont even be close.   Obama better just pack it in.

personally, i think newt could be the perfect VP pick.  He's an attack dog.  Presidents are typically graceful POSITIVE statesmen.  I don't konw that he can do that.

But it's him or Romney.  ROmney seems just so awkward and ingeniuine lately.  He must feel like things are slipping away.

Romney creeps me out.    i prefer the attack dog Newt over Romney.   Romney seems like he has thin skin and obama will definately get him to melt down in anger.

Newt wont have to worry about that and can just pummel obama with facts etc.

Gingrich Surging Among California Republicans

Newt Gingrich's surge in the GOP presidential primary extends to the delegate-rich, but late in the calendar, state of California, according to a new Field Poll released early Wednesday. The poll shows the former House speaker in a virtual tie with Mitt Romney for the top spot among Golden State Republicans, typically a more moderate breed.

Romney leads the GOP field with 26 percent, according to the poll, followed closely by Gingrich, with 23 percent. That is well within the poll's margin of error of +/- 5.7 percent.

No other candidate earns double-digit support. Embattled businessman Herman Cain is at 9 percent, followed by Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, with 5 percent.

Newt is a smart, sly, sleazy bastard. I honestly think he could win the election. I don't think he'd do good for this country.

At least he would not roll over play dead like McLame "You have nothing to fear from Obama"
