On a serious note, I hear the regular mid-to-close grip version is a proven shoulder wrecker. The wider grip version others say really hits the lateral head nicely.
What are your respective mom's opinions on this?

When I occasionally do upright rows I use a rope and it takes most of the stress off your shoulder joint, I just started doing face pulls with a rope again if you put the attachment about chest high and take a few steps back it seems to hit everything a upright row hits plus much safer on the shoulders.

2 maybe 3 upright rows once every 4 months is highly anabolic. Stack these rows with a shot glass of water to double your gains.
do only once a month and one rep MAX

Best exercise for side delts ?
Standing side laterals with dumbbells, heavy and light weights as well, rep range from 6 to 50. 2 exercises for side delts per workout or even more if it's a weak point.
