Post by: tweeter on December 15, 2011, 10:36:33 AM
I'm going to be in manhattan next week and was wondering if anyone knew of some decent gyms that aren't too expensive for a one-time visit.

I live uptown so I can't help...but there are NYSC's and Equinox's everywhere. Just say you are moving to NY and hustle a free week out of them

Ever go to steel gym?    That place is flaming.  I was training w a friend once a few years ago who was prepping for a show and could not wait to get out there.

Better bet is NYSC and try to get a free week.

I recommend equinox if you want a free week. Best gym chain in the city (not as good as reebok or sports club/la though) so might as well get the best package for a free week.

they aren't going to give you a free weeks membership at nysc, and there guest passes are $15 a day.  NYSC is not a cool gym franchise and their equipment sucks.
