I don't have much interest, I'm only into building and honing my own physique and sharing advice with guys in here, who feels the same? Or different?

I do I'm pretty much obsessed with some of the pros
ronnie coleman's autographed pic on my wall next to my bed which says "purenaturalstrength, train hard"
sometimes I look at it before I train and imagine it is the word of god telling me to lift some heavy ass weights
feel like andreas munzer died for us bodybuild fans
he gave it his all then he died in the process

Yes, but the top guys only compete once a year against each other. It's a tough industry to keep interested in year round.

For a person with over 6,000 post on a bodybuilding board that talk a lot about pros, its pretty obvious that you do not like pro bodybuilding from a fan point of view but only from a fag point of view where you jack off to the photos of pros but i guess in your own sick way you are contributing.

i once liked bb when i could only follow it years ago in the magazines. then i saw my first bb show on the cable channel 'eurosports', and just couldn't believe how totally and utterly fucking crap it was. i wouldn't mind, but i was well fucking excited when i saw it in the telly guide.
tbh, i'm not sure why i was expecting so much. bb just seemed so exciting within the pages of flex :-\

If you follow pro bodybuilding, the only 2 shows worth attending are the Arnold and Olympia. These shows are at a point now that they never change; same city, venue, schedule, etc. If you are an attending fan, you get the same thing as the year before, which gets old quickly.

I have not liked or had interest in bodybuilding since Lee Haney days. I didn't know who Ron Coleman was until I started posting here a long time ago. I just stumbled on this board looking for diet/training advice. I read a few posts and stayed for the entertainment. Still don't like bodybuilding and only know enough to understand what people are talking about.

I shamefully keep up with it, but I loathe what it's become. It's especially bad since I came here and learned about the G4P and how deep the drug addiction and abuse runs.

I really liked it in the 90s when all of the info I got about it was the filtered, clean image of the scene that the mags (mostly FLEX) showed you. Once I began lurking here in 2002/2003 and then started posting, I've liked it less and less, after seeing all the sordid stuff that goes on behind the scenes. Never wanted to look like a pro or compete or take roids, but some of the top pros inspired me to lift hard and look good. Now there's maybe 1 or 2 guys that I respect, most of the rest are just bloated meat bags who rely on drugs to make up for their lack of hard work.
Nowadays I like watching the AC and the Mr Olympia, that's about it. And I like Phil Heath. Getbig brings out the truth, but also makes you have a lot of contempt for bodybuilding and even humanity in general, lol.

Have you heard of Alexander Pope's quote, "The proper study of mankind is man"? You get to see/study people's thoughts, motivations and behavior here better in some ways than you can IRL, where you are mostly with just one or two people at a time and are distracted by their looks, body language etc. You want to learn how people think and operate, just spend some time here and see it in it's raw form ;)

Although the physiques of the 90's are way better, there has been 4 Mr O's in the last 7 years, so it's only thing that keeps my interest, imagine someone locking down the sandow for 6-8 years with all these pluffy bodybuilder with chipmucnk faces chasing him, I wouldn't even bother with sport then

I used to like pro bodybuilding a couple of years ago, back then I though it was more about hard work rather than drug use. I wanted to look like a pro from the 70's lol and I though competing was cool. Then I started seeing the true, and I got dissapointed although I never really liked modern bodybuilding, just a few guys I think they were great. I liked more the 70s-80s look. I love to train and that's it. I come here for the lulz.

I like playing sports but dont like watching them. I can stomach NFL becouse of getting together with the boys and having a few beers.
