and please don't start the ronnie comparisons. this guy is a power-lifter pretending to be a mr o caliber bber. ronnie's gameplan was different.

Very heavy weight but how come everybody that trains heavy today has people touching them during the lift?
He would have impressed me a lot more by doing the 170`s clean.
I say he would've gotten 3 shaky reps with the 200 pounders without the spotter touching his elbows. He sufferred to even get the weight up, he wouldn 't even gotten them up by himself.
I know the spotter was behind there so that he wouldn't completely embarras himself doing couple of akward looking reps, but he shouldn't compare himself to ronnie. Ronnie could handle those big weights, but this guy needs 10 spotters when he squats 90 degrees angle and having a thousand wraps around him and this video. Sory g_thang but ronnie is ronnie :P

I agree with devil......one maybe two reps by himself, and that`s a big maybe.
I will say that on another day,he may well have been able to get those reps......... but this wasn`t that day.

you mean with a bar or with dumbels?
Maby he hada bad day, he looked depleated and ofcourse he wasn't in his safe gym environment could've been the reason aswell.
But true athletes can perform in any environment, so said the chinese womens olympic team coach and I agree with him.

I clean the bells from the floor,while simultaneously flopping back on the bench..............if I miss the bench or land a bit crooked,I`m fucked! :(
I never did master that knee kick thing.

That`s what I meant by "on another day"...............some days, you are just stronger than other days,but knowing he was training for this(if indeed he did train for it),he should have rested sufficiently before the event.

well he looked depleated, plus the environment and poor preperation for the actual lift... happends.
wes you should master the knee thing :P... after I started doing dumbels the first thing I wanted to do was do them like jay cutler did, and it's cool to swing back to sitting position and not throw the dumbels around and won't risk an injury.

I know bro,but `m so used to cleaning them.
I could probably use more weight if I could kick them up, because cleaning 40 pounds over my bodyweight then repping is a bitch,but it`s kind of like trying to teach an old dog new tricks.

I kick them up at the same time, I don't get why do people do them one hand at a time :P, kick them to starting position, boom, turn your wrists to normal position and then boom, lift.
you learn it really quickly I'm sure if a skinny boy like me can learn it :P

i was gonna say something about the "assisted" reps too, usually he handles the 200's much easier than this, for some reason they looked much harder for him this time.
