Last year the guy that won did around 27-28 reps at 105kg (or 230lb).
They were proper reps too, touch chest, full lock, weight for clap ... repeat

I'm currently 266 pounds (tubby o lard) and can't even do one rep with that...
but I have begun training again and suspect I will be able to do at least one bodyweight rep by mid 2012 barring injury, end of the world doomsday scenarios playing out or drinking just a little too much Moet tomorrow, passing out, falling down my staircase and breaking my neck

Btw, do u have one of those benches that sits kinda high off the ground thereby making it harder to drive with your feet during your bench press? I couldn't really tell but it looked like your feet weren't all the way to he floor. I used to have a bench kinda like that.

A few sets of Partial dead lifting thick granite tables + a good 12 hour pec stretch combined with a 3 day rest = looking like a fucking god when he finally walked through those pearly gates.

No, its low to the ground actually, about 1 1/3 ft. I don't arch my back when I bench though.

Bro, it's not even close. At the time my contest 420 was the national APF record, and I still hold the record at the 132's, but there are guys in single ply shirts getting close to 600, and in tee shirts at 500 now. It's insane. -EK

All of my contest lifts were done in single ply poly only shirts, and I have gone over 400 multiple times in the 48's and 350-370 multiple times in the 32's. If you want to look up other people's results have at it. -EK

Reread both of my posts before you get your panties in a wad. The 425 was at the gym in a tee. TBH, the pause was not passable in a contest, which is why when I used an old POS bottom line Inzer Blast I hit 420 in a meet, and missed 430. Any further questions? -EK

Yeah I'm always torn between the ego side of strength numbers and trying to keep with a bodybuilding type regiment so I pretty much end up treading water in both categories lol. I can't stick with one or the other :-\

Last time I benched seriously was 1998 and at a bench for bodyweight for reps I did 235 for 20 reps without a warm up(they did not count 3 so 17 good strict reps)
They were slow full and strict.

Know what you mean bro tough decision for sure. But theres no bad thing about lifting heavy in terms of gains, so I think its helpful doing both ego and non ego lifts once in a while..

That's exactly what it was. I was a light-weight powerlifter; hypertrophy was not only not a goal, I tried to avoid getting size that I didn't need, because the guys at the 165's were unbelievably strong. For me, for about 12 years, anything more tham 3-5 reps was a warm-up. Even speed work days were 9 sets of 3 (general Westside routine). I don't know what else to tell you. I wish I could have done 225 for 20-25; I couldn't. My triceps fatigued to quickly and I stopped at 15 the few times I tried to rep it out. -EK

here are some videos,.. the first (very old video) i was 69 kg pressing 140 kg for one rep.. the 2nd i was about 83 kg pressing 140 kg for 3 reps and then 100 kg for 15 reps.. my heaviest lift was 155 kg for one rep and i was about 83 kg..

eat your shit these videos as i said were taken in 2011 (less than one year ago) and i have a video of me pressing 150 kg in october but didnt upload it.. and the one old video when i was 69 kg was in 2000 and not 1995 asshole.. it's even written on the screen..
my current goal now is to press the 150 kg at a bw of 75 kg.. i thinks it's achievable for me..
as for pics i sent many good pics of myself in 2010 and 2011.. at my shittiest shape ever i still better than anything you may dream of.. i posted these 2 pics to show i have ok bb lines and not as someone said..
