I had to give up my photo aspirations around 2003 to deal with my Mother's decline...I stored my transparencies, negatives, and prints at her house because she had the space...I have since discovered she has thrown them away...
I do however have a small portfolio of VGA resolution images taken with a cell phone camera covering a period of time...here are a few.

If I knew this thread was here I would have posted my son's pics on here instead.......I really need to get out more :(. And for the people who gave constructive criticism, I appreciate it and my son loves photography. Going to try to get him into a class or if anyone knows of some good research sites please let me know. He can't take a photography class until his Jr. year. Thanks.

This is a photo I took of Fox Glacier in the south island of New Zealand in 2005. If you look closely you can see the people standing there, which really shows how huge the glacier is.

Thank you hun bun. :-* I have got so many breathtaking pics of NZ from when I travelled there in 2005, of "The Remarkables" where Lord of the rings was filmed etc. I really need to get more up. :)

If I knew this thread was here
who knew the Positive Bodybuilding Discussion and Talk board would be the place for a thread on photography that would be better suited on the General board ( General Topics : Topics that have nothing to do with bodybuilding, fitness, or figure, or our industry ) ::)
but yeah Joe ... you ( of all people ) should know that anything on the G&O was up for trolling and you open yourself up for it on that board
hopefully your son can still get some good advice etc. from the web and use it to continue his practicing until he can get into a class
good luck to him ... sports photgraphy is a field that is lucrative and holds a continuing outlet for new photographers to join .. there are incredible historical sports shots that will always be fascinating .. hope he gets to the point of getting one or a few

What does your hippie neighbor sell? Any other cool stuff going on around his pad? People that do weird stuff to their houses like that fascinate me.
When I get more time I'll put up some of the pics my wife has taken.

If you slowed the shutter down and closed the aperture a stop or two you may be able to get both the balloon and the flowers in sharp focus...
-
Use a strobe that is not attached to the camera but up and to one side and you won't illuminate the retinas...

I used to know how to do all all that stuff when I had the old-fashioned manual SLR. I have no idea how to override the "automatic". ::)
I think slowing down the shutter would blur the flowers and maybe the balloon because they are not still objects - the wind is blowing.

My wife has only recently taken up digital, most everything she has was shot on film. Talk about a learning curve! :)

These are awesome! The natural photography is always attractive...

New carriages on the london tube- the first in 50 years, yay!

one hungry hour later :) homemade pizza!

The inside of the new tube car is bright .. I'd been thinking they were darker for some reason .. what are the small black barrier type things for ?
How long do you reckon the new ones will stay spiffy ?
Very lovely views of an almost Monet sky .. the sky has a gorgeous pallette at times
the pizza looks good .. saucy and cheesy the way it should be
pictures like yours of Botswana .. and free's photo of Namibia are awesome .. it's way cool to see bits of the world the way others look at them
-
cheers w8, I like your lasagna pic too, it looks delectable, do you do two layers of mince, one of cheese or how do you do it?
the barriers I think are supposed to be for disabled people to hold on to... the carriages are supposedly more accessible to disabled people, they've all but bridged the gap with the platform
as to how long they'll stay new and shiny... who knows? It might be a few months yet before yobs start scribbling things like "Jezza + Lizzy = LFE" on the windows :)

The barriers are for wheel chairs to fasten onto...I thought the British were famous for being civilized, not defacing public places, and having safe crime free towns and cities?

That's a nice picture you paint... alas, no.

he goes to fairs and sells carved scuptures like at lumberjack shows of bears /eagles/ etc. he does with chainsaws.. I was told he hasn't done anything inside (I don't "know" them personally) ... I was like a village nosey body asking people what the inside of his house looked like lol

Goddamnit! >:(
Chaos, can you please administer Raymondo with a formal warning re: bringing up politics in a good natured, positive board thread!
Surely a formal reprimand in due?
Also, feel free to delete Raymondo's above post (post #35) a specious, spurious and sickeningly shambolic mess of which I felt both duty bound and obliged to rebut.
At no point was any offence intended. Thus I have deleted my post to adhere to your rules here.
As always, thank you Chaos for both your understanding and assistance on this matter!

I encourage talk and questions about the pics being posted, but I discourage any kind of political debate in this thread, thanks.

Here are a few that I took that you might find to be of interest.
Each shot has sort of an interesting story behind it.
