The sport of bodybuilding suffered a major embarrassment at the 2011 Pan Arab Games in the Qatari capital of Doha after ten bodybuilders tested positive for anabolic steroids. The gold medalist is almost every weight class was disqualified for the use of steroids. The entire “Men’s Bodybuilding 70 kilogram” category was eliminated after all competitors failed the doping test.
The 12th quadrennial edition of the Arab Games was held under the auspices of the  Federation of Arab National Olympic Committees from December 6-23, 2011.  The Arab Games Organising Committee (AGOC) announced that over 400 athletes had been tested for performance-enhancing drugs such as steroids under an agreement with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

WADA announced 14 cases of doping violations. Ten of the failed doping tests occurred in bodybuilding with the remainder involving athletes in judo, weightlifting and basketball.

The winners of seven bodybuilding weight categories were disqualified for steroid use including four gold medalists from the host country of Qatar.

The use of anabolic steroids, human growth hormone (hGH) and other anabolic drugs is pervasive in competitive bodybuilding. Most organizations that sanction bodybuilding events around the world do not test for steroids. However, steroid testing in bodybuilding is more common in Middle Eastern and Asian countries where bodybuilding is regarded similarly to other Olympic sports.

WADA began the process of testing athletes as soon as the over 6,000 athletes from the 22 Arab League countries began arriving at the Athletes’ Village in Doha.

I know many Arab bodybuilders. They told me that if you can't juice then there's no point of even doing bodybuilding competitively. Almost every guy juices in the Middle East...so they say ;)
