Title: Dempsters Bread
Post by: allornothing86 on January 06, 2012, 09:41:45 AM
Hey guys I was wandering what you thought about Dempsters Ancient Grain Bread. I work away from town during the days, and I usually pack a lunch that has two chicken breast or tuna sandwiches on two slices of bread. I was wandering if with all the preservatives and other stuff in the bread if i should try and eat less of it and put other complex carbs in my meals some how. Any thoughts or inputs would be great, cheers!

Never heard of it, but if it's whole grain, high fiber, it's probably not that bad.

Good bread has little to no preservatives in it.  I go to a farmers markey and pick up organic bread that is great and no preserves.  Demptsers is good bread, but pretty high in calories at 120 calories a piece.  With that being said, it also has a high protein amount for bread, and an ok amount of fiber.

Do a google search on P28 bread.  Best bread you can buy and if you get their coupon and order a bunch it works out to about $3.50 a loaf.

I like white bread and I know its junk compared to whole wheat fibrous bread. Don't like brown rice either...always eat white. Other than a lack of nutrients like vitamins and stuff whats so wrong with them?

I mean the glycemic index response doesn't matter when the food is combined so from a bodybuilding standpoint does it really matter?
