Title: Paramilitary - Prisoners?

As far as I know, we have 141346.38 violent criminals in American Prisons.  Why can't these sociopaths be harnessed for military service.  I know they couldn't all be used, but it seems like we could get atleast half to follow orders, and fight?  These are people that aren't afraid of violence (probably feed off of it).  The fact that most of these people would enjoy what they were doing would have to make them highly effective.

Because most of the animals cant be harnessed.  They are where they need to be.

Wouldn't work. It would dissolve in to anarchy and nothing would be accomplished.

Just give them all a weapon, some ammo, food and water and drop them off in the middle east with no-return ticket.  No way to make them a coherent group in the military, but if they kill mussies or each other.....it's a win/win.
