It is. I went to the zoo last year, and to see some of these beasts is amazing. Imagine being mauled by something like that. :-\ :-\

Remeber that story a few years ago when the cats jumped over the the mote and malled the shit out of a couple of kids that were teasing it.
-
my local pet store has a monkey in a diaper that attacks the glass to hit people in the face all day long.
-
Sucks that the king of the fucking jungle has to sit in a place like this and have thousands of people each year just stare and point at him. Fucking humans are animals :-\

That's so sad..it was forbidden for years, but now you can buy a monkey in Holland again.. :'( :'( :'( :'(
-
Fucking hate seeing these beasts locked up like this. Horrible. I hope the glass breaks someday. Not when kids are around. But hopefully fat people

i dont think this monkey is for sale, it's always the same monkey in that cage (I think)
Still, agreed, it's very sad to see this creative fun animal getting screamed at and teased by idiot kids all day. I hope one day he learns to tear off the diaper and smear his feces on the window, reducing his marketability.

I've seen a pedobear, but I've never seen a pedolion before

Humans capturing animals is not a fair fight at all.... I'd like to see a guy try take on a lion with nothing but his bare hands... No tranquilizer guns, no protective armor, nothing..... Let's see how long that fight lasts!

The fight would last less than 10 seconds!

When I was a kid, I went to the Washington, DC Zoo, there was a gorilla, that ran into the glass, headfirst, and did it again...There was a Black Leopard that was pacing back and forth, and it was like one of the coolest, but deadliest things I've seen. It had this look, like it would eff anybody up that came near it...and it's walk was purposeful, nonchalant...like, "If I get out of this cage, I'm gonna fuck some shit up!"
The lion display---I almost fell in....
-
King of the...cage >:(
-
Years ago at our local zoo, they took a male chimp out of his cage to protect the female and the newborn chimp.
That SOB bent the bars and got loose, they had to shoot him.
Same zoo, around the same time period, some chick who was high on acid put her arm in the polar bear cage............shot him too.
These two beautiful animals have been in our local museum now for years, stuffed of course.........fucking cruel to cage them up like that.

just to quote this for the fact that most people have no idea what a wild chimp is capable of doing, they are damn strong! Could rip any human being to pieces.
some people argued that a ufc fighter could actually beat a chimpanzee in a fight... lol :D
-
-
there are african tribes that have hunted lions like this with spears to this day.
lol and those homos didn't even aim well. It seemed as if they just kept shooting hoping to get a lucky shot.
-
That kid would provide a lot of protein for the lion.

actually wild lions consume easily houndreds of pounds of meat... that child has maby couple of pounds of meat. She's only enough to feed allistair overeem for couple of hours.

What a shame for the King of the Jungle. What's it with people taking a beautiful and powerful creature from it's natural habitat and putting into a showroom window cage to be taunted at all day?

The only argument I might add is that being able to view creatures up close and personal may spark an interest in wildlife, which may be absent if people don't have such an experience. If zoos didn't exist, the distance between man and animals would be even greater. Being allowed to look at and appreciate such creatures is what sparks people to defend wildlife when people try to do away with them through hunting and poaching, etc.
This is just an idea. I might be way off. What do you think?

I don't mnow what's it called. But, in piece on the Tiger that attacked and killed those three kids in a zoo, they showed old clips of animals that paced severely back and forth---Rhinos, Elephants, etc...it was pitiful---so they changed up the design of the displays to be more natural and give them something to do...
I am deathly afraid of Bears---they are like big stupid dogs, that don't know their own strength.

part of being human is having the cognitive ability to build and design weapons...I think that makes using anything you built with that ability a fair fight.
We arent as strong as them but you dont here ppl bitching about that when someone gets mauled do you?

Bad zoos are terrible. Mis-treat and mis-manage fantastic animals.
Good zoos are a great thing. Valuable breeding and reintroduction programs for conservation and all manner of beneficial scientific studies. On top of what you said.

I hate how that one guy has tiger cubs in the mall, in rinky-dink cages (open bottom cages, set on the floors)---and people who don't know how ro take care of them...they have infections, or some have grown too big, and eff with people.
-
circuses are the worse thing when it comes to animal treatment,
a big one might have 20+ tigers and lions, a few elephants and whatnot... they get treated like shit
-

It's bad enough that you admit to Lion raping, but did you really feel the need to expose the fact your cock is only 5 inches long. ;D
-
classic getbig style ;D ;D

Yes, the pedolion specialty is eating pussy ;D

Remeber that story a few years ago when the cats jumped over the the mote and malled the shit out of a couple of kids that were teasing it.
This happened in San Francisco, if that is the story you're talking about.
The kids were using wrist rockets and shooting the animals, while drinking. A friend of mine is a SFPD patrolman and was on scene.
The animal had jumped over the fence and was wondering past people completely innocently. But once the animal found its attackers, it pounced, killing one on site and seriously injuring the other 2 while I think one of the 2 later passed away. The reason why the animal was killed was because it was a fluke shot. My friend said that all the shots taken were just bouncing off the animal and they were waiting for high powered rifles until the fluke shot occurred. :(
-
LOL ;D
It is always the most innocent honest comments that provide the opening for something funny - I think it is my mind that is warped at the moment, I am coming of some Anti Depressant medication and it is fucking with my mind, but your innocent one liner about the magnificence of Lions and the experience of being that close to them, my sick mind pictured a man fucking a lion - my mind is fucked at the moment - anyone have experience coming of the AD meds, it's killing me - brain zaps, nausea, dizziness, confusion etc etc, fuck those things, I will never touch them again.
-
Who cares they have all the food they want. They just eat and sleep and hump all day anyways. Kind of like negroes minus the drug dealing ;D
well they both originate from africa
-
I wish he could kill all of those assholes.
Actually the lion ventured to the boundaries of a local village in that region, he had to be killed
-
This lion must be thinking, "DINNER"
These animals are awesome. Scary tho...
I took this pic at the Busch Gardens.

What does fairness have anything to do with the laws of nature? Is it fair that a pack of lioness pounces on a limping zebra and disembowels it alive? Is it fair that someone else does the dirty work so you can have your steak all trim and fresh wrapped in plastic?
I believe in God but if it were up to me I would have made things a lot different. A hell of a lot different. There is far more evil in this world than good. Far more suffering than joy. We debate and argue all the time about the existence of God but to me a far more interesting question is if God is good?
-
TIGER>lion
You would think so because a tiger is larger. But not so. Like a cheetah (speed) a male lion is a very specialize animal designed to do primarily one thing, and therefore does it very well, and that is to fight and kill. This specialized skill is so he can protect his pride and reproduce. A male lion does not hunt. It just pretty much eats, sleeps, fucks and attacks any and all threats or intrusions into it's territory.

Hear Hear - Great Post - It is odd that the word GOOD is derived from the word GOD - The English word God is identical with the Anglo-Saxon word for “good,” and therefore it is believed that the name God refers to the divine goodness.
I have often said the concept of God is irrelevant, and a human being could live quite naturally & peacefully without ever having heard of the concept. I have long been a devotee to efficient methods to encourage peaceful relations, and it appears the problem is the social construct - citizens in western society are forced to compete with one another (based on cold war studies that show human beings are inheritably selfish) - so even in families love is diminished and competition is rewarded - so we have society of winner & losers, not a collection of individuals all striving to fulfill their potential while helping others do the same. What is the Answer - abolish the monetary system for a start. if that has got your interest, I have other ideas, maybe world revolution could start right here from GETBIG

I went to those, I don't what you call it, but they are not in cages. They are free to roam and you drive by and watch from a distance. It's like a Safari. It was in San Diego.
The worse is those circus acts where they take these majestic cats, both lions and tigers, and have them do stupid tricks. Jumping through hoops and shit. I always hated that. Even as a kid I knew that something was so wrong with this picture. I remember one display where they had this chimp dressed up in short pants and suspenders with a goofy hat making him dance and shit. I was like WTF? I always hated the circus. As a little kid it just seem like some weird, perverse, bizzare and freak show. I use to get nightmares. Midgets running around forced to act funny, women with beards, clowns prancing around looking at you and making faces -- just freaks every where. But the worse, the absolute worse, the part that I hated the most and the part I would see in my nightmares, was the people. The people in the crowd. All laughing and pointing and yukking it up. Creepiest thing in the world.
I don't think they have those kinds of circuses in this country anymore.

SO cool! But a tragedy the animal was killed :-(

poor lion

I love animals and hate to see them in captivity, but the fact is a little girl, who probably went there for the first time, fully understands the concept of "glass" and an adult lion who lives there cannot grasp it.
