I remember a classic bit of live news, they were questioning this retiree/pensioner they'd gone up to in the street in detail about the state of awareness amongst people when it comes hearing loss and the aged to which he replied with a  cupped hand to the ear and an almighty, "PARDONN?!!!" lol.
