Sending money to flagged countries/persons.

I believe they are obligated to give you your money back or that is stealing.  Sending money to someone is not a crime.

That's a relief.

I really think it's because of my name and where I'm from. Fucking racists.

I sent a WU to a certain stranger and it was to china I got home and checked to see if it was ready for pickup and it said on hold call WU number and they said the person I sent to wwas on a government watch list. They removed the hold as I said I knew the guy personally . they said they just had to notify me and then they told me it was now ready to be picked up by my receiver. then soon as I hung up the phone and checked again the hold was lifted. watch who you send to. i dont do biz with that guy anymore he is heated him and his whole crew

Think it happened to me too. After my transaction, about 2 hours WU had called me to verify the info before they will release the funds. I asked them why and they said it was because i was sending over a grand and thats the policy. The thing is, I have sent more then a grand to somebody else a couple months earlier, and i didnt have any problems

WU sucks. Use Money Gram. They can flag you and ask for verification too, but it's a lot less. They've never lost an order of mine nor have they given me any problems.

I've only ever had one payment get flagged because it was sent to someone who just got busted. My sender had to verify their details and we just never used them again.

Why wouldn't you just use a bank?  ???  International transfers are easy enough and it's all right there on your statement which makes your bookkeeping easy.  It's not like you're going to move money anonymously no matter what, Wester Union, Paypal, or whoever.  What's the appeal of this Pony Express crap?

I hate it. Not only is backwards but the fees are a joke.  A bank transfer cost 2-3 bucks and it way more private.

Where i live its not illegal to buy steroids.

Why should i pay 10-15% fees, plus currency change, to those WU pigs? Its a robbery. I feel robbed everytime i use it.

Even so, it's better to be safe than sorry. The US can pressure countries to expedite people for sentencing. They think they own the world.

At the very least, get a friend or acquaintance to wire the funds from their account. Continue distancing yourself even if it is legal there. You never know when shit is gonna go down.

Unless you're showing WU a fake ID, it's plain who you are.  If anything, it's probably more closely monitored than bank transfers because of the more manageable volume and the fact that dodgy people think it's a good place to go to get away with something.

Here's a thought: Maybe you shouldn't traffic in illegal drugs if you can't even figure out how to pay your supplier without arousing suspicion.  ::)

Don't they ask for an ID? And if you are using a phony name what if you have to or want to get your funds back like ReardonMetal did when he sent to Kami for kigs but changed his mind when all the shit went down?
