Good!
Six U.S. lawmakers dropped their support for SOPA/PIPA
Bloomberg: Six U.S. lawmakers dropped their support for Hollywood-backed anti-piracy legislation as Google Inc., Wikipedia and other websites protest the measures.
Co-sponsors who say they can no longer support their own legislation include Senators Marco Rubio, a Florida Republican, Roy Blunt, a Missouri Republican, and Ben Cardin, a Maryland Democrat. Republican Representatives Ben Quayle of Arizona, Lee Terry of Nebraska, and Dennis Ross of Florida also said they would withdraw their backing of the House bill.

this is good. It needs to be completely distroyed.

And DNC head still supports it.

the fucking sponsor is a fucking republican and several of the cosponsors. 3333, shut the fuck up and just let everyone oppose this instead of trying to drive a wedge between people. If both libs and conservatives oppose this, good.

sounds like there are bags of crap on both sides of the aisle that are backing off this bill. Hopefully the rest see the light too!
Rubio is particuarly interesting. Some people, willing to look past his weak resume, want him to be on the VP slot because they believe being young and exciting beats out the experience of multi-term governors of people with decades of national experience like Mcdonnell or Odonnell.

Why do you have such a hard on for "experience"? Give me a fucking break all this experience has put the country 15 trillion in debt. But lets go with the career politicians ::)

i'd say you have a valid point - except for th fact in 2010, americans put in some very inexperienced people into office. tea party. 1/3 of them had never held office.
and the result? they nearly crashed the economy with the shutdown, we lost rating because of 'brinksmanship' and they managed to cut a measley 385 MILLION from the budget.
epic fail. obama didn't slow spending a bit. they couldn't stop obamacare. they couldn't stop libya. They just got their asses handed to them by senate repubs too!
now, you get a guy like ron paul - with great ideas AND the legistlative experience to know how to fix things - that is when things get better.

The government "shut down" is a scare tactic for morons.
Budget? What budget would that be, last I checked the US hasn't actually had one in what, 3 years?
No one is going to fix anything, because they don't care about the country, all they care about is keeping power and enriching themselves. If these assholes actually could only serve a couple terms then have to get a real job things would be far superior than they are now
-
my point is that hiring 'outsiders' didn't work either.
hiring 30-year vets of DC didn't work.
Ron paul could work :)

Hiring all outsiders would work, the problem is the entrenched career politicians. It's a fucking joke, now you have to get a billion dollars in donations to run for POTUS. WTF is that
