I know a multi millionaire, he drives a 1995 Ford Explorer. He got in a wreck, and drove it wrecked for a week until insurance sent him his check to fix it. This person deposits his small checks faster and with more excitement than I deposit big checks. He inherited his money (didn't earn 90% of it), but he still works hard everyday, and is thrifty like this.
His girlfriend spends money like crazy, he does wear nice clothing, and his vehicle is in decent shape for being a 95.
What's the deal? I know people that make there own money, and live the way they always did, but isn't this rare with people that have inherited everything?

I guess I just kind of wonder how this would have been ingrained in him when it was all given to him. Seems like he would be more apt to do like lotto winners and piss it all away, or at least drive a car that wasn't 15 years old and wrecked? Or, at the very least have his vehicle fixed before receiving his insurance check.

He was most probably raised by his parents to work for what he has. He did chores and he wasn't just given whatever he asked for.

Shit,I`d make some investments and then travel and buy whatever I wanted within reason.
You can`t take it with you,that`s one thing for sure and this guy could kick off at anytime.

so some guy that inherited his wealth lives a simple lifestyle...great, good for him. But the part about his girlfriend spending his money wildly totally discredits any positive message here.
I would be more impressed if you said that he only pays for hookers

I know two brothers, both are multi multi millionaires....
One is very practical wears a 50 dollar watch, still works everyday, dresses normal
The other wears a 50,000 dollar watch, always dresses nice, expensive suits, velvet shoes, and retired young just to enjoy life
I have to point out the practical one with the 50 dollar watch also owns a yacht the size of a football field (I've stayed on it) lol

to me being a multi-millionaire is enough to live comfortably on, but not to blow money so lavishly like buying yachts, buying front row seat to the nba finals, buying 300$ dinner for twos, etc etc
but im talking about being like a 3-millionaire though. big diff between that and 500-millionaire
if i was 500-millionaire i would make it rain rofl
