Title: World Physique Federation (who?!) 2012 world championships
Post by: DroppingPlates on January 25, 2012, 06:06:06 AM
On December 2th, the World Physique Federation (WPF) will organize its 2012 world championships in my town, Delft - the Netherlands.
So far, I've never heard of them and their page www.worldphysiquefederat ion.org contains not much interesting stuff.
Any (background) info about this organisation and it's competitions?

This is the organization that Lee Priest started with in Australia (muscle memory is wrong btw).

He won their national overall title in 1989 as well as some smaller shows.

He switched to the IFBB in 1990 and won the lightweight at their nationals. He never won the overall IFBB Australian title even though it is out there that he did win it several times.

Wrong, mr noodle crusher, that's the NBPF, the new organisation from Walter van den Branden, who was an IFBB/NBBF official for years.

The organiser behind this year's WPF world championships is Irving Meeng (right on the pic), who's training at my gym (I never spoke the guy). In 2010 he was still with the NABBA and there were plans to organize its world championships in my town as well, but things went differently.
