yea, this is a situation where it probably is best for the mother to decide. She didn't consent to sex. She didn't have a choice. It's a little fucked to say she shouldn't have a choice after that. Why force a woman through that extra trauma? She is a life too. With that said, it's still fucked up for the little boy or girl who also didn't have a choice in how this happened. This is the shit that makes rape one of the worst crimes.
Santorum as always is a dipshit not capable of seeing the full picture.

far-right voters/media use it as the measuring stick for "who REALLY believes abortion is wrong..."
but you let their daughter be raped by a minority and watch how fast they can 'bend' that rule for 'necessary health reasons'.
Santorum answers how he has to, and he's a little unhinged, but this is such a small wedge issue that affect .000001% of people.

I've become a lot more pro life after having a kid. It's very hard for me to imagine not giving life a chance. It has to be something fucked up like what we're talking about in this thread. Also if the baby is going to be born dead or die shortly after, there's no need to force the mother through months of extra emotional trauma. I've watched that forced on a mother first hand and it's not fucking cool. My sister in law went through that, carried the baby 3 months after the diagnosis and gave birth to a baby that would be dead on birth and that's exactly what happened. Fucking wrong just because politicians and pro life interest groups can't consider all the factors.
