straight bar is better for biceps
should i also do this now
-
why not both 3-4 sets each. ;D
-
I never ever use a cambered bar. They suck and are useless. My arms blow everyones minds. I'm talking quadruple take level arms.
-
Depends if you have small wrists...straight bar=bad for small wrists
EZ Curl=good for small wrists.

i used straight bar for standing curls as far back as i can remember
but i never did preacher curls, started doing them recently with bent bar
and it hurts my ulna like hell (not the wrist) weird

straight bar is vastly superior to the cambered bar for mass and thickness to the biceps

I have tiny wrists and EZ bar hurts much more. Plus it puts a bad tension on the elbow.
-
straight bar, ez bar, db, cable....just curl
-
Cambered bar is far better suited for triceps work IMO.
Howver,if you have bad wrists it can take some stress off while curling..........I do them both for variety, but I feel a straight bar is superior.
Just my 2 useless centavos ! :)

tell me about it
but i'm increasing the bench again... just saying lately i've lost bench strength because badly structured training because i was pisse off i sort of let the structure go
now i have regrouped and trying to do it right again

Straight bar supinates your biceps for better contraction.

yes, its called the 1872 Mr. Canada Signature Series.

Straight bar all the way. Slightly wide grip so your wrists get used to it - beats EZ bar any day.
-
I get tendonitis with a straight bar...
-
Use shoulder width at most. Go narrow. Use a bar attach to the cable. Works great.
-
tried preacher curls with straight bar today and straightening arms completely on the bottom
felt good on the biceps and no discomfort on wrists or forearms bones
when i did bent bar i had progressively increasing pain in the ulna
can't believe i actually learned something from pro bb videos
