Title: I am asking again.....about OB in November
Post by: OzmO on February 01, 2012, 10:19:52 AM
I asked this before about 6 months ago.

Do you think Obama is going to be reelected?

After seeing Lou Dobbs say the economy is getting better, after seeing Newt say things like:  Spanish is the language of the ghetto, we gonna have a moon base in my second term and the reminding of his $300,000 ethics violation fines, then Romney not knowing about some of his negative ad campaigning and basically being a moderate vanilla repub, do you still think Obama will lose in November?

Gallup state numbers predict huge Obama loss
http://campaign2012.washingtonexaminer.com ^ | February 1, 2012 | Conn Carroll

Gallup released their annual state-by-state presidential approval numbers yesterday, and the results should have 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue very worried. If President Obama carries only those states where he had a net positive approval rating in 2011 (e.g. Michigan where he is up 48 percent to 44 percent), Obama would lose the 2012 election to the Republican nominee 323 electoral votes to 215.

Gallup ads:

Overall, Obama averaged 44% job approval in his third year in office, down from 47% in his second year. His approval rating declined from 2010 to 2011 in most states, with Wyoming, Connecticut, and Maine showing a marginal increase, and Massachusetts, Wisconsin, Minnesota, New Jersey, Arizona, West Virginia, Michigan, and Georgia showing declines of less than a full percentage point. The greatest declines were in Hawaii, South Dakota, Nebraska, and New Mexico.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Unless things drastically improve - he is gone.

After seeing Lou Dobbs say the economy is getting better,

Even if things got better, and we had Bush2 and Cheney washed Obama's Prius while singing a song about the economic recovery...

Repubs running for office, and those who support them, would NEVER admit it.

They can't.  Cause the #1 issue to keep obama out of office is his poor handling of the eocnomy.  If they admit it's better, they destory their #1 reason for voting ABO.

So yes, don't expect honesty there, and who can blame them - it's politics.

By what measure is the economy getting better?

According to the resident idiot, Obama is resigning, seeking a pardon and moving to Kenya before November.

Delusions aside, yes Obama will get reelected.

LOL.   He is going to lose NC, FL, VA, probably OH, not to mention CO, etc.

You gay/black/enviro-nazi/guilt ridden white/public sector union/ morons who did not see the landslide in 2010 till it was over will be sitting in the same position  when this grifter and his horrid wife are sent packing.

 Expand Romney's playbook: McCain's states (180), Indiana (11), Virginia (13), North Carolina (15), NH (4), Ohio (18) and Florida (29). And he gets 270. Literally 270.

I didn't say it was, 33.

Even if things got better

I used the word If.   And 33, tell us... IF the economy was recovering, and you knew that admitting it would mean obama would probably win - would you want mitt to deny it, so that he could win the election with economy voters?

How is Mitt polling in FL today against obama?  Cause a LOT of 2008 repub primary voters stayed home.  not a good sign.

I dont have to speculate on that because the economy is not improving.   Its getting worse.  and its not a mystery why.

BTW - Obama thanks you for staying home yesteradaye despite trashing republican voters for months about the need for Ron Paul.   Probably the biggest boner you have pulled yet.   Trash the repubs on this board to vote for RP, and then not do so yourself, and then trash them again when RP is not the choice.

I see a lot of improvement in the economy to be honest.

He is beating him by 6 points in FL.

A lot of older jews hate obama for how he has acted and will stay home.  Plus, if mittens picks romney - it will be overwhelming.

Lower gas prices?  WTF are you talking about?

Housing is also having lower and lower prices and sales were the worst on record in 2011.

Dobbs is wrong on this.  Things are not getting better by any real measure.

The CBO expects UE to climb back to 9% this year. Not looking good for the Usurper and his drones. I hope they have the decency to suicide themselves if he loses. Either that or taking up arms so the true Americans can strike them down with a vengeance.

You gonna vote for Mitt?

Damn he's hard to vote for... I'd vote for him over Newt in a heart beat though.

I don't think this country can take 4 years of an Obama with nothing to lose. If he's been this bad while still having to run for reelection then imagine what he'll be like when he doesn't have to worry about that. No thanks. I don't want to but I'll take Mitt.

Not that it matters as CT was one of the four or five states that saw thr Usurper's approval rating increase last year. In other news, years of Dem control has left this state billions in debt.

Obama is a guranteed disaster and communist looting this who will be even worse in a 2nd term.

Anyone else, regardless of who they are will probably suck and there is 80%-90% of the next person sucking.

I am voting for that 10%-20% chance.

Does that make sense?

Obama has forfeited any right to a second term bt not producing a budget, not pushing his own deficit panel, pushing wildly and reckless laws like obamacare and dodd frank, etc.

I will vote Obama over The Grinch.

Romney over Obama depending on his VP selection.  If he pulls a dumb ass move like McCain with a jack ass pick like Palin, I will be voting Obama again.

I have a feeling that the economy is gonna improve markedly in the coming months. Anyone remember how gas prices went down like 30-40 cents a gallon right before the '06 midterm elections, when it was (correctly) predicted that the Democrats would make a big comeback because Bush was such a moron? Strange coincidences.

Yes...and I have money riding on this.  The president's record on National Security is solid......Gaddhafi, Kim Jong Il, and OBL all dead on his watch.  Frequent reports of the economy and housing rebounding.  Deportations of illegal aliens are actually UP. 2 of the Big 3 US automakers saved and now making healthy profits. I don't see Ohio, Florida, Virginia or any other swing state going to Romney.  Florida and Ohio especially were decimated in this moribund economy and voters are not going to be duped by Romney's notion that a guy like the late Steve Jobs actually creates jobs here in the US via reduced regulations and less taxes.

DISCLAIMER:  I know some of you can toss up charts and stats with the best of them to refute any of these claims......because, that is all they are...CLAIMS.  However, perception is everything as the voters are generally stupid and apathetic.

Why Romney can't/won't win:

- He's a Mormon.  This is a religion on the outside looking in.  It does not have the clout, money, or influence that Catholocism has.

- Follow the Jewish money.  The more friendly a candidate is towards Israel, the more funding that candidate receives.  Oftentimes, around 60% of a candidate's campaign contributions are derived from Jewish sources.  Obama has a mostly positive, but spotty, track record in terms of Israeli-US relations.  Romney speaks a good game, but he is largely untested.

- Obama is a great campaigner with a highly organized and efficient team.  Lots of money at their disposal to pick Romney apart.

- People voting for Romney are not voting for him because of him....they are voting for him solely due to the fact they don't like Obama.  It may have worked for Obama back in '08, but ole' Obummer is not near as reviled as Bush was at the end of his 2nd term.

- Big banks, corporations, and the rich back up Democrats moreso than they do Republicans......Democra ts, in large parts to a heavily biased media, have skillfully portrayed this as being the other way around.  Well played, Dems.

And you can add, the wars winding down.

I would have to see that.

You have a lot of companies just now reaching out for their IPOs (Facebook and Zynga).

A big part of why they didn't IPO before now was the economy.

Those are real signs of the economy turning around. When you ask about "data", what do you want?

There's a lot of "data" out there.

He makes 8 million dollars a year and lives in the NYC/Boston/DC corridor.

Ask the average main street business person what he thinks and you will get the truth.

The average main street business person is selling antiques and is in hock up to their asses because the only retail they can do is BS because of larger companies and lower prices. So they likely squawk at anything.  However i did have a nice conversation with a photagrapher on main street who does murder mytery theater on the side and she seemed tickled.  Further more, they arent likely knowledgable about  economics, however LOu Dobbs if Fox news IS.  (Lou is not a member of the sky is falling association)
